Why is it often debated ?
Well it appears that this is simply because nothing is ever perfect.
What is wonderful to one is unbalanced to another.
What is boring or stagnant to one is riveting and eventful to the next person.
Maybe a better way to put this thought would be that
“No matter what you do , Someone is not going to like it.”
We have discussed, tested, tried and erred
learned, progressed, healed and grown
The one thing that we have come back to time and time again….
The Void is a Multi-Player Server.
It is not just for Role Players
It is not just for Dot Killers
It is not just for Player vs. Player fans
It is not just for any one style or playing preference.
It never has been , nor will it become, dedicated to anything less
then always welcoming All Freelancers.
Now I ask you to honestly ask yourself this question.
Which player are you?
The one who finds a social get together with your friends to enjoy
a bit of team based play.
The one who has found that after a long day at work and after the kids
are off to bed that you have an hour or less to blow things up
before you go to bed yourself.
The one who Roll Plays deep into your character, living vicariously
through the perceived hardships and thrill of that same character.
The one who kills countless hordes of NPC’s to help carry the
torch for your clan and the Void on the Cryostat Network.
The one who can tell anyone who asks "just about anything" about
this incredible Freelancer Mod.
The one who wants to be seen and known for your provocative
ideas, ways or means.
The one who gets a kick out of helping new players learn
how to MP for the first time.
The one who reads every single news article and listens to every
single Rumor in the bars , soaking up the back story like it’s a bestseller.
The one who has found that there is Just Something Different
About this Mod.
Maybe you’re a few of these kinds of players…
It does not matter which one or ones that describe you…
You are ALL WELCOME HERE.
Move over and make a little room for everyone.

You forgot to mention a couple of things that seem to me, at least, important:
It is the result of a lot of hard work and devotion by a handful of dedicated, resourceful people who share a vision and seem to get their collective joy from creating something that in one way or another is fun for everyone, who don't get paid a dime and who often pay from their own resources to keep their vision alive when donations aren't enough.
It is something for which we all are, I hope, very very grateful.
