[FAQ] Team under harassment - Unacceptable. Everyone read.

As a member I am not in the position to provide you with an objective answer to that question.
I see your point, but isn't this somewhat besides the topic?

Totally agree with U! Personally, i'we respected yr clan members as i respect any player on Void,now & in future.
But i am strongly convinced , if yr m8's will send 2 Admins via PM some screen shots with that kind of evpressions or actions, we'll see Warning posts from Admins, 2 defend even Black Legion! Very Happy

You know, Shonen, the FAQ team helps out a lot by devoting a considerable amount of their gaming(!) time to helping out new players, or anyone else who has questions. The admins don't like anyone harassing anybody (maybe it's time you familiarised yourself with the rules again, they say so right at the top :)), especially not in such a spineless, cowardly way, and it's understandable that they like it even less if a group of players who actively help running the server are the victims of it. Gr8-Lizard is right: anyone who would be the victims of harassment AND posted evidence of it would be defended by the admins. It doesn't matter if the ones doing it are right or not: it's the method they're using to "express" their "opinion" that's a bannable offense. So, please don't try to defend the ones who are breaking the rules (I'm referring here to the pathetic harassers) in any way, even by attempting to shift the focus of the discussion :)

On a side note: earlier this day, I found myself wishing that this server had an /ignore command, at least for private messages. Couldn't one be implemented? :D

Indeed, U r right with the fact -It is their choise 2 spend time 4 helping ppl.
-This dont make them special, they remain regular player as the others
-Many ppl did help the others without having FAQ tag
When U debate the subject in that manner, i must admite U have a decent point ow wew! Very Happy

You know m8s, every attempt of explaining the differences between the FAQ tag and clan tags gets invalidated or turned into something that sounds negative in some way by some people anyway at some point. Some people seem to enjoy putting a lot of effort in trying to make the FAQ Team bad or at least trying to counter any piece of positive comments or views about the team.
I can only hope that the good intentions of the members of this team get noticed, appreciated and respected by the majority.

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion about what the FAQ Team is and what it is not. It's not about how special or how ordinary the FAQ tag is here - it's about harassment.

Due to some of the replies here, this thread is starting to turn into something that could only fuel and motivate the harassers, doing more harm than good. So why don't we stop this debate and let's agree to differ here.

I am glad we at least all agree that harassment of any kind towards anyone is something we don't want here, which is the point of this post.

Harrassment is bad for any player. It is not worst when A FAQ or an Admin or a clan mate is harrassed, it is the same. We are a equal in that situation

But any player that consider a FAQ member like a player is really confused. Because a player PLAY the game and a FAQ doesnt play. The difference is so big that I think I dont need to explain it

Fortunatelly the opinions of some ppl about FAQ team are not very important, the really important is what Strail , Admins and players that needed our assistance think about our work, and about that I feel very good Very Happy

Simply said true - well said Babieca.
Actually i want clear that Harrassment in any kind and towards ANY person Despite of his Position on the server is one of the most lame Actions that can be done on gaming Servers.
it also show a way of living , enviromental effects and manners. - don't those want to look good ? i hope any of them read my reply , and feel shame of annoying those who decided to give some time of their fun-time to help others!

I would like to use this opportunity to bring something to the admins' attention. I know some people will take this the wrong way, but here goes anyway.

On my Event char I have the ability to kick people who leave me no other choice. I have never had to use this during an event. A warning or maybe a disqualification has always sufficed up till today. In other words I really could do without.

On the other hand - the FAQ chars.
I for one, spend a hellufa lot of more time on my FAQ char, than on my Event char. During that time, - and this goes for every FAQ - we have to deal with a whole lot more BS than anytime on our Event char. Of course FAQ has the ability to kill people in NY, but in 90% of the cases, this doesn't help at all. It seems that people take joy in respawning, and going at it again right away. And continuously killing them is kind of absurd too. I have noticed that when the situation left me no other choice, switching to my Event char and kicking the player in question brings a solution. (Event though switching to another char to use its 'powers' goes against my sense of 'what is right'.)

So what I want to point out here, is that the FAQ has at least as much use for the kick option as any Event char. And to be blunt: If the Event chars are allowed to use it, and the FAQ chars spend more time in space and get more cr@p and abuse thrown at them, then why isn't the FAQ allowed to?

I know we have just recently been granted our own sections on this forum, for which we are really grateful. And I really don't want to push my limits here. But I honestly believe that there is a need for this tool. Even more so, I strongly feel that for example [FAQ]-TIME would NOT have left the team, if he would have had the ability to kick his abusers. It is extremely discouraging to face abuse of this level and being powerless against it.

I know that handing out admin tools are not done easily. But I would like to ask the admins here to think over my request.

Any harrassment is unacceptable if its a player or if its an FAQ trying to help other players - this is clearly stated in the server rules.

Like many who read this im disapointed that FAQ get any harrasment from players - there using thier time to help other players, so at least they should be respected for that. FAQ isnt server staff in disguise, their a buch of people who got together to help players out on the server for the good of the server and the community. Please stop this immediately, it really doesnt make sense.

Otherwise, server staff will have to use the ban button for people to stop.

Unacceptable , it's the right word . What a foolish behaviour to harass some good souls who just wanna help people ! And for the ban , i dunno if any admin can , my idea is banning mates by IP not by chars . Then , they cannot create any new char on any FL ID .

I get Harrassed lots but what i do most of the time is ignore it, becuse im here to help the new people that is what i do.... Smile

Reading this, I am disgusted.

I have played here on and off now for what 2 years, and this is yet another attack on the players and staff of the server. I have no respect for players that think its ok to harrass the FAG, or any tagged or untagged player.

Does anyone not see what the FAQ does, where they ussually hang out, I have very rarely seen the FAQoutside New York ( the no PVP, system) every player when they first come on the VOID start in this system, no matter what tag you have in front of your names. the FAQ are as stated NOT SERVER STAFF, they are here just to answer the questions, and make life a little easier for all the new players, and some vetrans who come back to see how its changed
