but flying new ships would be really cool. and can think of all kinds of sterategies with different ships. currently the anubis is the only thing i get along with. i would like to see that change and get into more ships. |

ok, heres the scope: it matters not what u vote for, it matters what the mod storyline misses - and that is up to modders to decide, because: for example the community here screams.. "mor ships!!! aaarghh " :))) - so... will it change anythin? - there will be 4-5 most common ships as they are now, they will be different (new), so what? the rest will just stay as a decoration. The same with commodities, equipment .. u will have the "standard suite" anyway :)
Bases? ... a good option, but it means ... more bases -> more systems and on the contrary ... Anyway - the "main system" will remain (the most beautiful - the most perfect" - the system where most of players will be amassing.
Thus, i think it doesnt matter if this mod will have more ships or commodities or whatsoever... i only hope that if modders bring innovations so they make sure these innovations are used. (1 thing is to prohibit clans to finance new ships for newcomers - that would lead to bigger diversity and thus ppl will HAVE to fight or trade to get their crafts)
so i vote for STORYLINE :))) and better RULES :))) |

Also, I think the ships should have more variation to them. For example, the Rheinland Valkyrie HF looks exactly like the Nomad Valkyrie N1 VHF. In my opinion, the Val N1 should look similiar, yet still have distinct differences. I would also like access to an Europa line of ships and equipment, as of yet, I have not been able to find such a locale.
I would like to say, I find that the choice Europa fighter, the Spartan I believe, is a very good addition to the Europa fleet. But the modified Rheinland ships are a mistake, unless they are among the ones stolen during the war.
I also think that there should be a 'war zone system' for major factions at war with each other, in addition to the other battles between fighter patrols. Like the Nomads VS. the Order, Robots, Monkeys and Europa. Such fighting including at least gunboats and crusiers.
Last, more mission types would make the game more interesting and 'free.' |

Clan system must have some unige ness, every1 hav just titan and all things same
they have to have some unigue things to offer their visitors
what if, we can get own personalities ? like we go to bar type place and meet other players face to face like community center type place ? not just trent,
and some NPCs whom we can permanently hire with us ?
like hired workers, or pilots, we can earn credits and give them ships and give them tasks to do on our behalf ?
there can be lot more things prossible with next void
but important is, next void must be light, run smooth, fast, stable, on either fast internet connection and dial-up type slow connections |

some police patrols who not just scan cargo but also look for illegal activities like Police do in real world
what about if we put cars and PCs and game consoles and mobiles and other luxury stuff in commodities ?
or some cruise transport ships
some cruise tourists ships to Orbital Spa Planet
permanent ADMINs and VOIDs ships ( with original player or fake AI controlled computer player ) who travels all systems with singularity drive and constantly monitor every illegal activities
really huge battle ships ( like sleeper ships ) why theres no Junko Zane, King, and Order's Leader ? why they just disappeared ? they have to be in the game, and show up here n there doing their work like they do in original NPCs whom we can talk, they can respond, if we want help, they give helping hand, ( like in fight or some other things )
and yes some realy interesting story, missions, some uniqueness to Clan systems, there must be some activity, like ships, etc

The luxery liner would be a nice tradership.. or destroyer. in the end its up to u. im rather new to this mod.. so i dont know if there exsist a ship with 2 torpedoes.. or if there are others than sunslayers torp. would be nice if there is no other choice to get more torpedo otions.. some that turns and fly faster.. but deal less dmg, or reverse. ic ppl with over 500 millions in credits.. there should be something BIG ppl can spend their money in as their pride. gl with the next mod :) |

Also a few more high end heavy fighters and maybe a few variable freighters, eg. 800 cargo but less class or 600 cargo with high class.
Maybe a new system and a new faction would be nice, maybe that allie the nomads or something to go with the story. And have missions with a storyline to go with this?
So basically a bit of everything would be nice :D |

More equipment such as guns would also be good, but something unique to the weapon that the others don't have, like a faster-firing nomad energy weapon that dosn't use any energy
...Something like that anyway |

Whether there are clan bases or lots of npcs that are fighting each other or missions in different systems that would take at least three ppl to complete, longer trade routes that you have to go through heavy populated pirate areas, but make lots of credits fast or go around but takes you longer. So that people who want to trade have more options than just NB to NT and back. Pirates have more rewards for picking them off. Ppl get to more systems and are spread out in the systems. People who like to fight npc have more choices. But spread these options to systems that get low traffic. Also have admins maybe have new selected ships, weapons and items that they can play with that are not too powerful and if they find they are a good balance then they can be added to the next mod for general ppl usage. ei. an anti scanner detection quizmo for freighters and fighters that will only let you be seen by scanners from 700m or less but it has to take the place of the elite shield. So that people can sneek up on others or sneak past, but your shield capasity is reduced. But not a cloaking mod. Surprise jump holes or wrecks that appear in differant spots in a system, or large npc wars in certain systems, higher loot in certain mine fields, a heavily beseiged planet by nomads that make it very hard to get to but has great items and consumer goods for cheap, or just cheap consumer goods, this would be good for troth and and discovery ships, maybe those two types of ships can only get through the jump hole. Just lots of differant situations for the ships and diffeant styles of play, to get ppl to use diffeant ships and have systems that are challenging for their style of play. E.i. for admin; take a ship that nobody hardly uses and improve on it add more speed defence or weaps and then see what its style is and try to set up situations in the game that would make it fun to have that type of ship. Or Battleships that cant leave certain preselected systems and these are where the npc wars and clan bases are. Areas of powerful npcs. Or random elite squads that pass thru random systems trying to kill everything in there wake, except NY of course. Clan bases where you can knock out the docking ring for 20 minutes and clan docking rings that charge you 2000 credits to land and that money goes to base defense. Clan bases that the clan leaders can own like a ship and add weapons and turrents and defenses and npc ships to clan base and docking ring for huge fees. But can set one comerse item price to attract traders to there docking ring. Or clan members automatically respawn at their own clan base. Just random ideas for improving, diversifying and enhancing peoples styles of play. |

(Score: 1) by DrZz on Tue Dec 05, 2006 2:13 am (User Info | Send a Message) | Idea for clan bases: Clan bases have one unique item that cost them lets say 100 credits, and the clan leader could sell it for whatever price the want and the profits go to the clan base, to be used by the clan leader for base defences, let say they can add weapons, turrents and npc fighters to defend their base. So their base would be like a ship, or it could even be a docking battleship in their system, that battleship could not leave the system, and for everyone that docks at the base would be charged 2000 credits or whatever the clan leader decided, exept for clan members. The unique consumer good could only be sold at one specific base at least three systems away at a non clan owned system for a specific price of lets say 4000 credits, the resale price has to be the same for al unique clan based consumer goods. The battleship docking platform could be knocked out for 10 minutes or so if someone does enough damage to it. But it cant be destroyed. This would foster clans fighting against each other to knock out clan bases and for traders to go to the battleships of different clans to get these unique consumer goods, for that clan to try to defend those freighters cause they want them to land and buy there goods , for opposing clans to take out those freighters. But not upset traders so bad that they dont go to their systems, cause they want credits to build up their bases, if a base goes bankrupt then the battleship is finally destroyed and its an open for a clans to fight for or buy. There would be only a select number of clan owned systems and no clan can own more that a selected number of them. the prices for clan based weapons, turrents, scanners, weapon platforms and npc ships and out fitting them would be high, the ships available and their weapons and routes would be fixed and set in a defensive posture around the battleship and whatever the battleships fires upon that is what the npc ships would attack. Suggestion: The admins run these clan based battleshios at first and see how they work and then move it to regular clan based operations.
Weapons and items for clan bases battleships
comes with 10k scanner
13 turrents 2k range
then could add
20k scanner for 10,000,000
50k scanner for 100,000,000
100k scanner for 500,000,000
weapons platforms 10,000,000 each
npc fighters in a mk2 5,000,000 each
turrents 3k 5,000,000 each
Tractor Beam, shields, hull stregth, excetera
This are just rough price ideas, maybe more maybe less
Once npc ships and weapons platforms are destroyed they are gone
The mod would be just a battleship that is only sold by an admin to a clan leader that has the ability to let ppl dock at it and have weapons and items that it could buy from its own internal supply and its own unique consumer good, the battleship would cost 400,000,000 and have automatic 100,000,000 starting cash plus whatever the clan leader had.
In sumery this would add clan fights and clan aliances, pirates and traders fighting and working together, a sence of a bigger goal that clans could work for, and a real sence of something to lose.
if the battleship itself or whatever you wanted to call it or make it was charged at least 100 credits for each unique item it sold it would help to curb direct donations by clan members just buying the unique consumer items to donate to the battleships finacial survival. At least there would be a penalty of 100 credits each.
The clan battleship would only be active as the clan leader would be on, but each battleship loses so many credits per day automatically so that it has to be on, so that it can be attacked, and if it is not on for say an hour each day it is charged and extra finacial penalty, and that penalty is increase the longer it is not on. This will facilitate battleships being on and so if it is not on more that a week it incures major penalties. The clan based battleship would show up in the chat log like any other ship and could be moved anywhere in that system as so desired but not out of it.
