A "hardware ID" is more popularly known as a MAC(machine code), other than that it is not possible to get the MACs of the hardware other than the modem or router, as you will need a dedicated piece of anti-cheat software installed which would have to snoop through the OS's catalog of devices found ...

My two cents:

Consumer-grade firewalls, especially software ones, will not stop anyone or anything if it's serious in the first place.

XENON: Hahaha, nice listing, but "Longhorn" is just the project name that some lazy guy forgot in the bootloader, it's not really meant to be there. It also is, the nickname of the Vista "mainframe". Kind of difficult to explain, but I hope you get the picture :D .

Problem: ????

Solution:

1. Go to your installation directory, Microsoft Games -> Freelancer folder and locate a html application named fldirectip .htp

2. Open it.

3. Enter the server IP and port into the indicated fields.

4. Copy that command line parameter starting from "-s" without the quotes ...

Hi.

I would think that it's something to do with your video card, as I have had similar issues with my ATi cards' newest drivers recently.

The frame per second is otherwise high, but occasionally, usually every few seconds, it grinds to 0 and then back up, which appeared as a nudging/stuttering ...

If it's a switch/router with 4 ports or more:

Plug the computers into the corresponding ports(if it has a built-in hardware firewall, plug them into the ports 1 and 2, as these are firewalled by default, and 3-4 are bridged).

Make sure you either set up static IP addresses or enable the DHCP ...

You need to right click the Freelancer Mod Manager shortcut icon, choose properties, then click on the "shortcut" labeled tab.

Now, you need to click on the "Advanced" button and tick the checkbox that reads "Run as Administrator".

This usually has to be done even if you have disabled UAC ...
