clan bases !!!!

I have a better idea. I have seen in the Hamburg City server that clans has battleships, which can be controlled by flyable by players. How about we do this. We can build battleships for each clans that is willing to pay . The battleships will only be allowed to be moved by the clan leaders or some person appointed by the clan leader. On top of this, the battleships will be dackable[ by clan members registered in the clan forums and its allied clan members also registered. No freelancers or Enemy playres allowed , when not moving! and each have 3 different buyable ships[admins choice], guns and equiptment and commodities[admins choice].

Just imagin if this was posible , then clans can have real difficult battles. If a fight starts between 2 clans both clans can bring their battleships in EPZ system,(inside these battleships, clan fighters will be docked) then when the battleship are around 2 k or which ever is best distance apart both clans can launch there fighters and do so much carnage ! but if the battleship is distroyed then that clan loses the fight or war !

cool right? its just an idea but i think it will really bring back the excitement back into the game!. but this would be very difficult to do and might not be even possible though ! but if it si then its gonna rock ! :)

It certainly sounds good.  One daft  question: If you are docked on the battleship and it moves - I guess it is taking you with it, or do they kick everyone out before it moves? Dont know what sort of programming would be required and whether it would eat into the lag monsters lair...?

I wouldnt want the VOID to get over complicated ...   At the moment -=REAVERS=- are of the notion that wherever we hang our hat is our home  - if the planets and stations were all bought out from under us then we would be very much stuck with a small selection of places to stay and being forced into making alliances in order to dock anywhere kind of moves away from where we were headed with the -=REAVERS=- RP

I am against us claiming a home as yet.  We have the flexability to wander where we will and we dont have to "guard" a particular area to the detriment of our RP.  Bases as opposed to systems might be a better aproach - One of the freeports or a Pirates Rock somewhere...hmmm - I have a few favourites of my own - but I will keep them close to my chest......

I liked the idea of the battleships but as Zeb theremight be many complications involved.

But i do of mods where the battleships are like bases which dont move and one can only dock and buy weps in them.
On the other hand there are mods which allow u to buy battleships and move them around and fight but they dont allow u to dock into them.[Flying a battleship is the toughest thing u can do.its like flying an AT multiplied by a factor of 1000 ]

Ur idea is kind a like a combination of these two.

1 billion for base sounds fair, clan bases shouldnt be destroyable in my opinion because if no clan members are online you could just have a different clan lining up outside it and shooting...

Clan bases it is an old and good idea
and it should cost 2 bilions
but there must be some systems which can not been taken by any clans
NY, Alexandria, Sparta, Dyson,Nomad 1,Unkw 2, 2 x event systems
now you all ask why
whell there can be fights (not in all of them) but any new player, clan or any clan member should have good place to have fun and not be involved in any clan war, you just may be to tired and wanted to just fly and shoot nomies and not being gangbanged by any organisation good or evil.
Well I always proposed these systems in the past now I am doing it again becouse all this new clan base thing

As I posted before there are many question to be answered before making clan bases.
But I can add some ideas that are simple :
-Clan base should be RED reputation to all ppl except clan owner.
-They should be in isolate places (50k for example) from any dockable place, then if the base is under attack enemies has to respawn far. Only Strong force of enemies should have the chance
-Good defenses, strong fire power
-They could be like trade lanes or defense torrets: can destroy their fire back shooting them, but not the base. When base is destroyed it doesnt explode (like trade lanes, they dont explode IoI) but clan members cant dock for a day, hours or whatever  (like trade lane you cant get them for a while)
-Only sells ammo, cds, cmds. No trading items, no guns, no ships, no missions. The base is a clan privilege but not an advantage in game

i got a small idea what **if** admin could also add clan reputation (F8 you see syndicate red and ESF is green FTP neutral ETC...) or maby clan ships patroling the area with the clan tag example you see a battleship with tag syndicate attackng you.

well then we can add one more thing if clan belongs to some fraction so if you kill them your rep with taht fraction becomes more hostile

Well u can do many things with this idea and add more ideas but someone said about Nomad 1 being made RP free with no clan bases in it.Well home base of ESF is in Nomad 1 and i dont think ESF will like this.

Saints are in Sparta and a few other clans have bases in systems having alot of traffic,this RP free idea wont go down well with some clans.

U can always exclude from RP and do ur own stuff as a freelancer and make the clan bases in remote corners of the systems where people dont usually go.

that Idea was long beofre all mentioned systems were claimed by anyone and even before VOID 2112 so pls to not lecture me about who will like it and who will not like it

this is just an IDEA even theta if someone decide could be RP free but If you see systems i mentioned are importan for all VOID comynity  I forgot to mentioned Bybilonia in the list
becousr there new people buy new ships, have good payed missions and similar, SO if I take mission in lets say Babilonia i want it to play it and do not want someone to be pain in the ... becouse he think he own that system becouse he or she liked it , as you said there is  many systems but only few is important for ALL VOID, that is the diference

Clan bases? good idea, I believe that they are already tested and working on new mod, just u know, I think that adapting npc ships is very difficult, and I don't have to say bout ships for players......

Anyway, 2 bill? yea, it's ok, so some guy don't buy 1 for himself  :D

Clan battleships? well, if u are asking me, we should stop giving ideas for this mod to Strail, he is (as I believe) finished mod long time ago, then some1 posted some ideas, some1 PM him, some1 gave him idea in game .......

If he plans to do new mod after this 1 that he's waiting, then we should give him ideas, but u know, I believe that we'll be happy with stuff that he put already in.........

Anyway, if u Strail have put in mod battleships, then 1 clan should have 1 base( max ), and 1 battleship ( also max ), so clan could defend them self and attack as well, and that battleship should be dockable place and it should have ability to move.

but Strail ignore this idea if u read this and I will say again


PLEASE ppls, stop giving to Strail ideas, we will be happy with stuff that are already in, or u want to continue giving him idea and get new mod for 2 years?????

Clan base and/or planets are very perfect idea.... but it will be cooll if can buy to clan base a cruiser or something like thet! to defend base on rade of enemies! When no member online the base are  indestructable and no active battleship.. it will be perfect. first i start playing on The Void i played on Hamburg.. and all what there i like is clanbase.. but on the void can make it 100 times better!

WHAT ABOUT SMALL CLAN OWNED SYSTEMS , SECRET HOLE IN OR SOEMTHING ONLY CLAN MEMBERS CAN USE XD but clan bases would be totally pro , make clan base orders then the next year any new clans can make their orders and then the mod dosnet have to be changed , clans with a year or more on void get bases XD and defence platforms , soemthign like 100 - 500mil each
