is it from testing the new mod?

i havent played here in a while, still had one ship left so i started over.

and i hear the chatter about the new mod coming out, and noticed the new flac shell, or at least the mods to it.

but everytime i try to jump through a jump gate or hole, it lags severely and i become vulnerable to players for an unacceptable amount of time.

i thought it might be on my end so i streamlined my bandwidth but i still get ridiculous lag.

now, yesterday i noticed the server went down a lot, but today it seems to be fine. what gives?

Well m8 the lag is not the server, but it is the load your PC is taking. I had this talk with Fracture earlier and it's the amount of players in range, your PC needs to load all there info ever nanosecond, this puts a big load on PC, and the NPCs barely do anything. But it's the Players not the server i was getting very mad at it lol!

my bandwidth is 1400/389 and my pc is 3000+ with 1gram running xp. i will check my framerates but its pretty much locked in @ 75.

it had been doing great after i made the post but then the server crashed latenight, like around 1am est.

*edit* definately the server, its gone down several times again.

Ya the server has been "attacked/flooded" as Strail said and it will appear as there is 128 players online but theres only about 60-80 on, thats the flood or attack strail is talking about.

well not good, but its not 'normal' and its not 'just me'.  

lets hope the foolishness ceases or is ceased soon.
