i am making a documentry on void for void viewers

Well I guess I will put myself in the crosshairs for a moment. I have nothing to loose at all by my comments.

First of all this is not a "Role Play Server" it has elements of Role Play but really truly is not one. There is next to no role play smack in the forums and if you try to get a little going you here the chirps of crickets.

Secondly that is a nice little list you posted but can't be totally accurate because everyone is going to have groups they like and don't like. There are a lot of cudos to groups that are probably not deserving of your perfect reviews of them. (for example I have seen Eclipes ships grouped with Xs shooting at nothing but traders. Hardly what I would call true Nomad RP)

I will say that the vast majority of Xs act like pirates, and the vast majority of Rs have been nasty. This has made life very fun for me on the server.

Bottom line is that to have more perfect role play you would have to have a more role play server.

First, this is about the longest run on sentence I have probably had the privelege of reading in my entire life.  Ever heard of periods (.) and commas (,) or question marks(?)

Second, the point of my posting is that most you guys don't know the first meaning of the "FLAME OF A TOPIC"  See now I am flaming.  I am giving a point of view that has nothing to do with the post initial meaning, but I'm posting regardless.  Dirk made a reply with his opinion that directly relates to what you are trying to say.  Just because his reply isn't "FAVORABLE" in your eyes to your intentions, that doesn't make it a flame.

WHAT I'VE POSTED IS A FLAME!  THIS IS A FLAME!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!  :D

In fairness to Dirk he does have a valid point. "Technicaly" this is not an RP server. X and R are the only two valid tags. It was set up as a shooter server - so its a case of dog eat dog.
However....There has been a larger element of RP over a period of time.  ECLIPSE being one end of the scale with AoF as a later "add on" with a different approach to the whole RP thing here on VOID.  The rest tend to fall into either "lawfull" or "unlawfull" and thats about it.

Some are better at it than others. Some talk the talk but dont walk the walk. Others dont talk and just shoot. Whilst some treat it as purely a PvP server and get on with they business of shooting down the other guy regardless of "RP".  

Fitting RP into an environment like the VOID is tricky.  Truth is it has been more successful than I suspect most people thought.  There have been bumps and pitfalls along the way - but so far? So Good!  Some can handle RP better than others. Such is life.

Not a bad little synopsis to start off with.  -=REAVERS=- have been on the quiet side, mainly because of my absence and also because of the "holiday season".  I hope to rectify that at some point in the New Year.  We came about due to an outcry and demand for something that had been removed.  I wont debate the points and the ins and outs of a cats @rse regarding it.  We achieved a limited effect that did bring about some of the danger and risk that many had ignored for too long.  Some liked the idea, others loathed it.  Thats life.  There has been  far to much "kiss and hug" going on in Sparta and around Sirius in general - or at least there was up until a couple of nights ago when I had the benefit of seeing several "Old School" return to the server and stir things up.

Srry for posting here about thiss madderz but i have some questions that have bugged me for a  while being a order. Order are supose to fight nomads , so why are we fighting pirates? Seriously i mean where is the rp in that? In story the Order is actually allied to pirate organisation such as Outcasts....
  And should not navy attack pirates only when they try to tax or do anything that belong to pirate rp ? Because a pirate who does not pirate... is merely a tagged civilian who belongs to some group. So should not navy only attack them, after pirates attack first or try to tax/ attack other players.

And for last i am also a camera man who makes movies of events and other things for money if u want to interview me on wat i see or movies i make i'll be more then glad to do so.

But here's my point.  If you're going to take on the responsibility as large as doing a documentary of the entire Void, you've got to realize that people like Dirk or whoever are going to give their opinion on it, especially in a post that you created and especially if that post is in a public forum such as Freelancer General Discussion.

If someone is seriously flaming your topic, then call it out.  But calling everyone a flamer just because they may not agree with your point of view is wrong, and gets quite annoying to see every other post say "flamer this" "flamer that".

In you one reply you called ESF flamers and they haven't even said anything.  That in itself is inviting a flame fest to occur.

My reply's intention is to show you what a flame is all about.  Good luck with your documentary and if you're going to make a documentary, then be it a documentary, so far all you've done is turned yourself into the RP Police.
