I think the bad spelling and grammar seen in the posts on the forums is a result of our abysmal education system (applies to UK only) which only seems to be interested in targets and fashionable subjects rather than teaching the basics, especially Mathematics, English and the Sciences.

they tend to act like dopes

for all kids/teens who think im insulting them, dont think that

im 13, a teenager as well

i tend to look at life as if im a machine, without regard for my own personal thoughts

those who're acting immature and are trying to stop, contemplate those words

and also, contemplate HH's words(the human rights declaration thingy 1)

as for spelling, i type extremely fast and sometimes hit the wrong keys

and strail, thanks for making a server thats not for only one or two languages

good point and I'd like to add :
English is not my first language and thats no excuse for grammar mistakes, some time ago I annoyed allot of people
with my typos and I found some solutions.

1.Firefox browser, it has a really good typo check, and its automatic, I'm using it right now, It just detected 7 mistakes, all I
have to do is right click them and select the correct one.

2.Some are happy with there browser,  there is a site where you correct a entire text :
http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/
Example :
Right in there " I'd liek ot haev a coockei "
press the check button and it will color the typos, select from the bottom left corner the word you meant to say, and click
change to. After that just click Finish and Copy the text back to your post.

I know its a bigger effort, takes me 4 more minutes to post something, but Strail made it clear why it should be done.

I must say I agree with everything above
I type fast poorly etc and I'm guilty of being a total @55hole in the past
 But I'm still here. Why? Because despite all the insanity flamers and such this place has potential.
We've got the best mod in FL and some of the best players. Some of the worst though as well. Because deep down we can
all see  what Void is capable  of, and that's why we love it. The flamers and cowards see that too, and want to DESTROY IT!!!
We all love Void and want to see it prosper, and when we weed out the flamers and cowards we can help it reach its full potential

I'm new here, so i'm not sure what VOID was like back then, but I take it upon myself to be courteous to other people. I think the basic thing is that THIS IS A GAME, ITS MEANT FOR RELAXATION PURPOSES, NOT FOR PEOPLE TO GET WORKED UP ABOUT. (sorry for the caps) If you're nice to people, they tend to be nice to you. If they're not nice to you when you're nice to them, then you don't really need to associate with them anyways. But if you're not nice, everyone gets p---ed, and that in turn gets you p---ed. Its a spiral that can go two ways. Well anyways, be nice to other people, be respectful, and chances are you'll get the same. Like Stoner from Eureka seveN: "Peace, man."

I guess i have to say sorry for that, I am only 16 and only been in American for 5 years now, English is still a knew language to me and i have some difficulty spelling words correctly. Will work on it and reread my posts from now on thank you Strail for pointing this out.

@ Ablivian. Don't panic about spelling at all. The Void is a multicultural sever with a player base from far and wide where many languages are spoken. No one will ever critisise you for getting something wrong when it comes to that.
Lol english is my 1st, and only, language and I still make spelling mistakes  :D
Any allusions made in posts earlier in the thread were realy a remark on the lack of brains that is sometimes in evidence in posts made here.

No. Thats the whole point of my post. Please read it again. No ones having a go at the odd spelling mistake. Its more to do with content than anything.

A spelling mistake makes not a bad post.
A good post with bad spelling is fine.
A bad post makes a bad post.
A post just for the sake of posting is ridiculous.

Strail's point is referring to "Thinking about the way your post may be perceived before you hit the button."

More importantly, Strail has made the reason clear.
The context of what he is saying is being improperly dissected.

Go back and read his entire post again.

Your completely correct there bud.  It does not matter about how you spell your words.  All that matters what content you provide.

In one hand you have a person who ALWAYS gets spellings correct, this person has written a couple of lines of advice to a player and in the other hand you have a person who is not so good at spelling but he has put excellent detail in their content and has made over 20 lines of very useful advice.  

Whose answer / advice would you take?

You would take the one with the more content.

There is no need to get every single spelt work correct.  Most people are from different countries who play on this server and English may not of been their first language.  Don't criticize them because they have not spelt a couple of words correctly.  Give them the chance to correct themselves and learn more about the language.  Through time they will get better at spelling.
