Firefox 3.0 / Void site

Post by Maverick »

Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 3.0 (newest version) scrolling and loading any page on the Void site is really slow. When I turn the scroll wheel on my mouse, nothing happens for about 2 secs, then it scrolls down slowly. Loading a page on the forum also takes far too long. As does the response to clicking link buttons.
I already tried increasing the Firefox buffer to 750 MB without any result.

This only happens with the Void site. Non of the other sites I visit have this problem. Also, before I upgraded to Firefox v3.0, everything was great... It just started now with v3.0.

Anybody knows what causes this and how I can change it?

Oh before I forget: there also seems to be a minor issue with loading images on the site. Don't know if it is related, but I thought I'd mention it. Here's an SS of it. It's the header on the top of the screen.

thats Z3 theme problem.
im also using FF 3.0 and i have same problem as u describe wen i use Z3

i might have to remove it again and see if i can update it again.

Z3 is a old theme, the developer does not support Nuke evo, witch makes problems.

switch to Rust and u will see the problem go away

Ok, thanks. But isn't it strange that it wasn't here when we used FF 1 and 2? Isn't thee a setting in FF one can change to get it right? I really like the Z3 theme...

Z3 THEME FTW!
I have experienced the same problems as you on my own computer, but I also see it sometimes when I am using FF2 on someone else's computer.
For me it's not a problem since I prefer looks rather than speed.  :D

@Burn: My mum also uses IE, and I know she has that problem too. And she has a brand new laptop... Makes me think it's a IE glitch.

Regardless of the issue with the Z3 theme, I strongly prefer Firefox over IE. I would recommend it Burn. Check it out: Firefox homepage

Good luck.

Nope, all other sites are perfectly fine. I guess there is no way to sort it through FF, and it's just a them issue, what Vec said. Although I find it strange it wasn't an issue when I had previous versions of FF.  :-?

If you having trouble with Firefox use Opera, i don't have any problems loading forum(Z3 theme) with Opera.
