I’ve found that every post on these kinds of threads fits into one of four categories:

The Noncompliant
e.g. ‘...when you get bored of it and start trying to complete Devil May Cry 4 on hard mode. Fnar fnar.’

The Slightly Relatable
e.g. ‘...when you try and play virtually any other space simulator and the controls seem like the most unintuitive and inflexible nonsense you’ve ever been asked to put up with.’

The Ridiculous
e.g. ‘...when a traffic light lets you through and you find yourself looking for the mine key so you can blow it up and stop anyone from following you.’

And my personal favourite,
The Warped Social Commentary
e.g. ‘...when you stumble upon your father’s loaded spaceship and try to re-enact the game, thereby accidentally shooting yourself in the face, and suddenly you’re all over the newspapers and the game’s banned in five countries.’


(Congratulate me on my strict adherence to the unwritten rule which states that you must completely waste any post that brings your overall count to a slightly significant milestone.)
