Guys, please, let's spend our money, not waste or delete it. Don't you like the idea of spending it in bases or planets?  :-??  We all will start again from zero, but at least you'll "own" something.
And I repeat, you want to delete all bases visited?, ok, but change everything on them. Flying again to same places and finding the same stuff again is nonsense.

Npc kills and time online shouldn't be deleted, actually, ..what for?!? what benefit do you/we get if we delete that?
Reputations?, Guns storage?, that's no prob., easy to remake.

I'm not recruiting, trading or exploring until I get some news about this. So, basicaly, I'm off.
What is the point in having 3 lvl 90 chars !!!!! lol. G
I said it I had it before first player wipe
and what to do with it
well to be honest I gave a lot of that to new comers
that was then, I do not whine for the $$ back then and I wont do it now, because you rly do not need to have that kind load of cash (except in RL :) ) but NAV MAP !!!! wiping NAV MAP is like well i can not compare it, it is lot and lot of time in that
now you just see what some players managed they have tons of NPC kills, so you it is like you gone on new server and that is it

I work very hard to have my present stats. In my clan we need to do some task to raise our rank like npcs kills, number of bases and system, etc...

So my answer is no wipe plz.

I don't mind a money cut to a certain extent But I have 56000 NPC kills on one of my Chars and i don't really want to do all that Again. As it as taken so much of my time to achieve. Also one of my other Chars is either friendly or neutral with all factions and that took some doing and its not my [FAQ] char.

NO..NO..NO..Its a clearly 'No' all the way. :D

On a serious note...
As one can clearly see a money wipe,if it is possible is largely acceptable.(50% money wipe is reasonable, leaving only 100 mil is unfair)

This has been mentioned many times and Ablert has mentioned it again-
Make the Players Spend Their Money!!

^^This is the best way to make people trade again.New mod should have prices of every gun, ship etc jacked up by more than 100%.A big inflation.
-Increase the transaction cost/fine while transferring money from one char to another through commands.
-Make clans spend money for their bases.-A simple 100mil-200mil rent/upkeep costs for their bases per month.

The aim is to suck out the money through spending!

Why would a money cut down to 100 mil be unfair.  20 million gets you the best ship and have it fully equiped and loaded.   So IMO 100 is still way too much.

I agree with Asmo and the rest of the guys who have worked hard for their npc kill levels and their maps.

PS can't be far away from gettin some new ships eh?  :D  :D

Well by this way, players with lot of money will spend these money (may be) and they will be forced to trade then. Sounds good, but did you think about newcomers ? I see it as such a unfair deal for them as they start from zero. Prizes in mod should be fair enough for every player, not only for the richest people of Sirius.

About wipe thing for new mod, take out our money, leave around 10 mils on every char, increase prices but gently and make trading harder as it is now. Just my view.

I agree with this.
Some people have way too much money and it will take enormous price increase to make them spend it all.Meanwhile those who do not have money will suffer.

Other thing,spamming missiles.
If you want to use missiles you need money, lots of it.
Take away money and there will be much less using of missiles.
If someone wants to use them he will need to trade or do missions, which means sending more time on server, which means more people on line.
Making missiles more expensive could also be considered.

Btw admins can we know is money wipe even possible???

Aye, it would be good to know if money wipe only is really possible. Some admin post here please, because we are still talking about it and we don't even know if this could be done.

I will tell you why it is unfair to have  a near 100% money wipe.-

>There are players here who have slogged here and worked their a** off in getting this much, they have spent hours and hours on trading and killing NPCs.
All that hard work,to just vanish like that??
How fair is that!
These people we are talking of are veterans, who have stayed on in Void and played the most. And this is how you deal with them?
Its against the very principle of the game:Freelancer, you can no longer do what you want to.How free are you?

Reaching the rank of Lvl 90 is just like killing 10,000 NPcs,its a stat, both are equivalent to each other, you fight and trade hard to achieve this goal. Its a matter of pride for the individual.
If you are against player wipe then you should also be against money wipe.

>Clans are run on this. Most newcomers are absorbed by clans as fresh recruits and money and equipment are given to them. You can't run clans with only 100mil in your account.

>For new players, increase the money that they get when they start a new char.It should be more than 100k.
Entry level and mid-level fighters and transports/freighters should have low prices so that new players can buy them easily and then progress on to buying the more steeply priced top VHFs etc.
We must also remember that we shouldn't make things too easy for a newbie.
Right now its pretty to make money and quickly get that Anubis. If you know the mod or some trade routes, you can get your Anubis quite quickly within the first day of your play in Void. All a new player need to do is ask a few players in-game and before you know it he has an AT and then he goes and buys an Anubis within hours.
There is absolutely no challenge in making money.
Far too easy.

>Increasing cost of missiles etc would make players think twice before spamming them.

>Would the problem be solved?
A money wipe is a short term solution.
Lets say u have a money wipe. But making money in Void is so easy that within a month or two, people will be back to Lvl 90!!Back to square one!
Is the problem solved?

If there has to be money wipe then a 50% money wipe is reasonable,if it is possible.

Most important thing is-There has to be avenues for money go out of the system. In economic terms- you need to suck out the liquidity.

High priced cap ships, guns,VHFs,equipments and making clans pay for bases are ways to do it.
Making money should become challenging otherwise we will never get rid of this problem-the problem of plenty.

Well... I voted 'yes' on this, and the idea of a 100% money wipe appeals to me as well, but looking at this it seems as though the benefits it would bring wouldn't be worth the headache of the sheer number of people whining about all the 'hard work' they did.

If you want to look at it like that, I 'worked hard' too. I had an Eclipse character over level 80 who was in the top 10 on the server in terms of NPC kills.

Want to know what I did with it? I deleted it personally when I joined Reavers.
If I'd had a word with the leadership, I'm sure they'd have let me keep it, but I deleted it anyway.

Why? Because I don't care. This is not work. This is a game. NPC kills and more money than you need mean nothing. You can build up enough money for a decent trader and use it to equip a perfectly serviceable character in around a couple of hours, everything else is meaningless.

Obviously maps are a different matter, since a filled in map of a system has immense practical value, but that wouldn't disappear with a 100% money wipe.
As for the money- 'a matter of pride'? What in? Getting to level 90 isn't an indication of skill, it's just patience; and I don't really care if someone's more patient than me.

Bile dispensed. Vitriol levels returning to normal.

Have a nice day.
