Lol, i know your feeling, tho....
Xenon, it might not have been in YOUR clan but you were bloody aware sherry was playing in Dacia. I can remember a 20 day ban from zebulon like it was yesterday. And a leaving post you'd never be back...
Don't ignore the past... It designs the future.

Constantine ban comes from Strail time,is not my ban,i will enforce it tho
Shonen is Shonen,Constantine is Constantine, dont mix both, they were banned for difrent reasons under difrent circunstances
Oh and i would like u to tell me wen Shonen was allowed to return,he pmed me asking to return yes,but no desition as been made.
Aurelius only had a 7 day ban becouse this was the first time we catched him,if we do again u bet he will get a permanent ban, wheres the "evryone deserves an 2nd chance " now?
this applies to ANY player

If you wish to appeal the decision you may PM an admin and present your case for consideration.

Your ban for 7 days now starts from today due to the fact that you circumvented the ban and have been playing.
Due to the fact that you did knowingly and willfully bypass measures agreed by server staff you will be monitored very closely. Any further attempt to bypass the ban will make it permanent.

ok i removed the name of the player in question but both those posts were made in the same thread!

Banned - permanent. DO NOT "test" Speed Mods here. No arguments. Anyone caught doing so will face a permanet ban - its cheating and it states quite clearly that you will be permanently banned for it.
Its that simple - dont do it.
once is accidental to the clan........twice is coincidence..........third equals habit...........But the way it was handled before is how it should be done. Also i think if a clan leader knows about it then he too should be banned for 7 and the cheat banned for life as an example of zero tolerence on cheating. TBH this gives out the message that its ok for someone to come here and cheat as you will get away with it once before you get perm ban.thats how it should be done i mean who wants to pvp a player that has knowingly cheated and let back into the server and before anyone says the forbidden tag - =DTA= i going to and i know what exactly is going to happen to this thread now they got banned for a lot less as a clan.
Lets go even more retro on this when i created the black legion with blade we had a player called mario who made an aimbot so we reported him to you admins and voids, the outcome of that he was permy banned but you(admins/voids) also tried to ban the rest of the clan even though it was us that reported it.
so i ask you Vector where is the justifacation in keeping a player that has cheated?

Anyone who knows me knows i don't tend to argue or get into this kind of stuff Vec. But this one has really bothered me. Seriously, shouldn't his second chance have been his trying to circumvent the ban? First chance: Caught cheating. Second chance: Caught circumventing a ban. IMO he would be on his third chance now, and thats a bit much.

Yes i Deny Hiding a Cheater in my clan , and if you read something about that , then you surely read the propaganda around this , which is not the fact happened.
if you want to know what happened , then here it is.
a player joined void server with speed mod on , he got discovered by LEXAN and BLACKDRAGON , the 2 ESF co leaders , and then they reported me later when i joined the server after about 2 hours , then i banned him from clan , reported him to admins - then he came back to ESF website and a conversation held between me and him , which later been spied by Maverick and Re-Fabriqated on purpose to show like ESF is hiding a cheater in clan , while ESF was the first to remove the cheater from clan even before void admins notice him and ban him..
your intention to re activate old bs is a fail , why ? because you listen more than thinking , and believing bs as if it's dead sure fact lol - Good progress with the rude behaviour , keep it up

Re: RE: Don't worry, not here to rebel.
This thread is actually HILARIOUS, Seriously...I've been saying this will happen since.....well, since I realised the ridiculousness of this server. Congratulations guys, Heres a cookie.
Seriously though, Modding is a Permanent ban. If its not, circumventing that ban is DEFINITELY a permanent ban. A Permanent ban is just that, a Permanent ban. If an older Admin has permanently banned someone, NO other admin should circumvent that ban. That is how Freelancer has worked in the past, that is how it should stay.
Aurelius should be permanently banned, twice.....But still, I congratulate the admin that banned him for 7 days for circumventing a ban for modding. I know where daddys goin next time he wants to test speed mods! #-o

Re: RE: Don't worry, not here to rebel.
Xenon, I remember seeing the post in question on the ESF forums. I don't understand why you'd lay the blame on Maverick - I want to believe you here, but I'm sorry...I just can't. But forget it - that's in the past. This thread started as legitimate concern for the integrity of the Void as a server, and, sue me, is raising some darn good questions. Now it's turning into a personal boxing match. All this old history may be extremely relevant to the topic being discussed, but it's being used as fuel for personal attacks instead of intelligent consideration. The important fact here is not who was or who was not hiding Sherry. The point here is that Sherry was caught cheating, and was banned for it, and I think we've beaten that particular point to death already. Let's move on.
As it stands, I have no problem with the admin team upholding a permanent ban. Contrasted with the recent ban for cheating though, such a harsh response to an innocuous-looking thread seems a little bit strange. It's not necessarily that the ban was upheld, it was that the thread was locked and the user was deleted as well. An outsider to the Void reading the forums would see a thread where someone's more or less just popping by to say hello get an extremely harsh response, and would see such a response in contrast with a 14-day ban for cheating. They'd be confused.
Anyway, I think the problem I have with the recent cheating ban (no offense intended toward the parties in question) is the fact that it comes across as relatively lenient from a player's perspective. There's a lack of solidarity with previous administrative decisions, but that doesn't bother me as much as the fact that it looks like you can get away with typically major offenses such as cheating or circumnavigating a ban extremely easily. And it's not the impression we should be giving to new players. Imagine you're new to the Void, and you're browsing the forums to get a feel for what the community is like. Maybe you check out the "Player Bans" section to get some idea of how strictly the server rules are enforced. If you were a hardcore pvp-er, and found a 7-day ban for cheating, then an extra 7 days for trying to sneak around it, your first thought wouldn't be: "Oh, it's alright, I guess there were extenuating circumstances."
Your first thought would be "Wow, the admin team is extremely lenient on this server. Cheating must be running rampant. Maybe [insert alternate server here] is a better choice."
Now put yourself in a different pair of shoes. Imagine you're a cheater viewing that same ban thread. Your first thought wouldn't be about extenuating circumstances either. You'd think about how easy it was to get away with things on this server. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about attracting new players to the Void, but in all honesty, I don't think this is the type we should be aiming for. ;)
That said, I understand that the admins are doing what they think is best for the server, and I respect that. But I feel the same way about voicing my opinion here rather than staying silent. (And seriously, it's not going to scar me for life if we don't have the same perspective on these issues.)

Sorry. Have to point something out.

That's the "player in question". So actually, this is their fourth chance, not third. Who knew about that, eh?
Xenon, I remember seeing the post in question on the ESF forums. I don't understand why you'd lay the blame on Maverick - I want to believe you here, but I'm sorry...I just can't.
Why i blame maverick , i don't blame him , i don't even care to blame him
And .. that's what happened , it's the fact behind the scenes that few here know about it.
You don't believe me ? that't your problem , i don't even care , Sorry
enough deviation ? or anyone still having an itchy rant inside him and want to thro it out on here ?
Regards.

Where is Zeb when you need him...
Conclusion: Aurel got banned 3 times now for suspected cheating and he bypassed it 2 times.
IS THIS NOT ENOUGH TO SHOW HE SHOULD NOT PLAY HERE?!

You might not like it,but be sure we will take your protests under consideration.

Re: RE: Don't worry, not here to rebel.
Here, admins rarely can proove that a player cheated or not.And that's because of the weak FLAC.
There are servers where nobody talks about cheaters or cheating, where no one accuse a player for cheat in game, just because FLAC is good. And those servers are full.
You talk about Aurel. Not even now nobody prooved anything about him.Except the fact that he kills badguys with misiles and that is very anoying for some.I tried to find if he was cheating or not,but he sweared he did not. So,if i have no prooves against him,or for defending him,i am not on any side, and i make no accusations nor defending him.
Yes,cheaters must be banned permanently and admins knows that. But when they just "suppose" that the players is cheating, they just give a 7 day hilarious ban. They are in contradiction with themselves. They post that a player has cheated but they ban him for 7 days?!!
Instead talking about other players, instead accusing other players, instead of tryin' to destroy players, instead of all this, you better join the server and play the game.Let the admin work for admins and stop spreading supposed accusations.

Re: RE: Don't worry, not here to rebel.
Solution to this whole thread:
Lock, let Const speak as he wanted with his topic. Then the cause of this topic is removed, hence presenting no requirement for argument.
I also wonder how this would go: all instated permabans to have a review and discussion to see if there is a possibility that some people can play if they can keep good behaviour. Except ones put in for cheating, of course, and severe offenses. We have a largely refreshed admin team...why not a slightly refreshed active player base? You could call it Month-Before-Christmas-Spirit.
A prime example would be Ent. After proving he was behaving and being on a probationary period, everything went well. What's to say that won't happen with others? Let some come, and more who aren't banned, just don't play, will follow. Win-win.
