is this splash screen for the game or the forum because the best is if no splash screen on fourum at all ;p
SEO tools also recommend not to use any kind of "click to go to the website" or "skip intro". the only exception is the adult content ;p

I'd go with option 17: it's clean, done well, and most importantly, the colors are both pleasing and different from the popular cool colors.
The popular 18 is also very well done, yes, but to me, it seems clichéd. There are too many shiny things scattered all over the picture (I prefer space to look like space :P), and the star looks a bit off, more like a lens flare.
