Coming back?

Hey all!

It's been a long time (many years) since I've been on these forums or played Void. Though I recognize some names, I'm not sure if anybody remembers me. Not too important, but I'm thinking about coming back and I was just curious what's the deal around here?

From what I can gather, Strail left for a while, things kind of tapered off, but now Strail is back and you're all trying to get things back together and bring the Void up to where it was and then some? No problem! Freelancer was one of the best action space sims ever, and The Void was the best mod hands down. You (re)build it, and they will come.

All I have to know is:

1) Does Freelancer work on Windows 7?
2) Where's the best deal on a Freelancer disc (I seem to have lost mine)?
3) Is this mod still up and running?

Ahoj Sovereign.

Sure I remember you, but I am not so sure if you remember me. Anyway, I try to answer your questions..

1. Yea it works. I have also installed my Freelancer on Windows 7 and theres no problem with it.

2. Dont know, but I have still my copy of Freelancer on external hard-disk.

3. Sure it is, but now is server down for unknown reason - I believe it will be on soon. Btw. current version of the mod running now is 2112v5B and you can download it at home section of this site.

It's been so long, I remember you only slightly. Thanks for answering my questions! Then the first thing I have to do is find a disc, then I can download the mod and become cannon fodder for you crazy guys!

I've been searching high and low for some good trade runs, but all the other games seem to not care about the trader. Me thinks it's time to get reacquainted with this awesome game and mod.

You can always pirate it.

Multipalyer works on the pirated versions as well as on the original.

But I guess that isn't necessary I bet that after all these years FL costs next to nothing to actually buy. Though I doubt you will find it at game retailers, I`m sure you will be able to look it up on eBay or amazon or whatnot.

It's only about 10 bucks USD to get on Amazon including shipping, and it's money well spent in my book. And it came in the mail today! Just waiting for the mod to download, then I'm jumping in this sucka!
