I have a 2 Mb /s connection, and mine is usuall around 90.
I´m not sure if it matters really, because the number is always around that figure, in laggy or non laggy times.
I´m not sure if that ping count is very reliable, at least it didn´t got any better for me with a better connection (and my connection is running fine, i test it regularly).
And on another note one of the servers I played where I had the least amount of lag, had a ping of over 300 for me...

the ping time is how long it takes a packet to get to the server and back (as far as i know anyway, please correct me if im wrong)Johny_Kat wrote:I have a 2 Mb /s connection, and mine is usuall around 90.

it can take longer depending on network traffic, the busier it is the longer it takes as the packets go different routes.
i dont think getting a better connection helps cos you still live the same (geographical distance away from the server so packets still have to get accross the internet and may be passing through slower connection than yours
