Freelancer - The Void

Sorry Jon, I know I may have sounded a bit off the top but things like these really get me angry.

I've been hearing them from 2005 since when I first got here and it gets kinda tiring when some of the server staff go balistic.

And the not being able to connect thingy just made things a lot worse. Am gonna call my ISP and see what's wrong.

Hmmm when i read this post`s (coment`s) i was laughing 10 min`s.
I know his not Mr. Nice Guy enymore but his not the Mr. Bad Guy eather!
His VOID and like FRACTURE say--->Zebulon does not need to be your friend to do his job!!! His yust doing his job even if meny ppl hate him...To be VOID u need to have "BIG BALLS"...Zeb have them even if some ppl dont like them...His Void and his very BRAVE

I know his like a Demon sometimes but ppl need to be afraid of him the they don`t cheat and moan all the time...!!!
Admin`s need the ppl for VOID like Zeb is...i understand that now

I can't believe how long it took me to get to the end of this thread. It was like wading through a cesspool. I feel like I need to go wash in a hot bath for a long time to get the stink off me.

Of all the mindless childish immature crap I have ever seen oozing out of these forums, this one tops the list. I am amazed at the how low it has gone.

Who the hell is this KOSA? Why do we care a rats anus what he says and why is anyone getting all worked up about it?

I have been away for a little while sorting out RL things. And I was inclined to stay away because of being fed up with the morons who take the fun out of being here. But reading this makes me want to come back... with a Vengeance. You don't like Zeb? Bummer. You ain't seen nothing yet.

I would say to KOSA, you're free to spout whatever fecal matter you want and embarrass yourself as much as you care to. It's plain to see how much respect you have already.

At Xenon I would say, the one thing you write that makes sense is... _____________ ...  Get the point? No I probably better spell it out for you. In very small words. Nothing. You say you write nothing wrong. Your attitude stinks. Give it a rest. It's not that you aren't a decent sort of guy. You used to be anyway. What happened to you? Ego. What a shame. Your head is way too big now and it's a wonder it doesn't just roll off. You make up for your smallness with way too much verbiage.

Blazin' has the best point. I wouldn't put up with this. I would lock this myself, but since Frac says leave it open, OK. Besides, it gives a chance to see some people's true colors. This is a great way to get to know some of these small minds a little better. Sort of a way to make up a target list.

I was thinking about it's a shame I'm over here on the other side of the world when all the fun is happening over there. But now I'm thinking, this is great, now we can have 24-hour coverage, Zeb and me. Isn't that exciting?

Watchwolf has found a great reason to be back. And all so many people said, Wow it's great to have you back! We'll see about that. Lots of friends here will be happy. But some others, hm...

Its good to have you watching over us again you are really needed as you can read all the above replies.

I want to share my global opinion about all this atmosphere that has been around THE VOID in the last year, with all my respect this is all because of a corrupted (almost lack of) philosophy of "living the game".

I'll explain it better, a long time ago an History was being made, The Void was building his own community and within this community values and stories were being born. Those same values would be the base of an overall mutual respect between players, ppl were having fun, ppl knew each other and would share with new players that same way of being. Now back to the point, why is it corrupted?

There could be a lot of explanations, i'll name a few, some have to do with the changes (needed to improove) in the mod. But every change haves is own risk, namely we started to have frag counting and with that a few bunch of guys started to "corrupt" his sould, caring more with the kills than with the person being killed; then there was the overrated aspect of moaning, at a given time moaners were having to much influence among our guardians, clans were disbanded/banned; those kind of situations would leave us with a few precedents that would result in something we're living now. Divisions.

I trully believe some of those "sins" within THE VOID history are aspects that can't be forgotten, those were the triggers for a load of questions, doubts, misunderstandings and at last, flames.

All this to explain the start of corruption of our beloved VOID way of living; honorable members, vets and other nice ppl even if they didn't realised it this way they felt it, they felt it was the time to leave. However nobody likes to leave something that took so much (good) time of their lives; those persons want to come back. They will come back (as soon as the old days "philosophy" is restored).

And like if it wasn't enough, the starting corruption was fueled with the coming of new hordes of players that didn't care to read, to knew or even ask the History of the VOID! They just came, settled in and started doing things their way like some colonists ready to conquer a new server. Instead of learning the ways of the void (and I ain't talking only about the rules, I'm talking about common sense, about respect, no low blows, no BS, etc.)

Now we have this, an inevitable division. We're divided. Void is divided. And like all division either one part goes way or both learn to live with eachother, i would like the second option to work out but... starting to loose any hope.

All of you may disagree with the way I see things, but like I said at the start of this post, I want to share my opinion.

The move went great. We're settled in our temporary home now while the new house is going to be built. My plans have been worked over by the architect and with a few small changes it's ready to go to the engineer for all the details like structural engineering, electric, plumbing, etc. The builder likes the plans too. It's going to be expensive but it's going to be worth it. We will start to build as soon as the spring thaw. Maybe The middle of March if we're lucky but most likely April 1.

Here's a few pictures of the area we're living. The first two is the view from our place, the last is some of the local scenery. You can see why we chose this place and why we are so happy now.

Kosmiker is so exactly right it's a tribute to his insight. The Void has changed a lot in the 1 1/2 years I have been here. So much more in the time he has been here. Some good, but maybe unfortunately not all.

The thing I believe more than anything is the Void is so much more than a game or the server... it's the people, a community of people all here by choice for the same reason. Well, we used to be here for the same reasons... now it seems some people are indeed wanting to remake it in their own way instead of just accepting it the way it is.

What he didn't say is, those of us here and loving the Void for what it is and what it represents will resist against the invasion of people who want to make it less than the place it was and what it can be.

We live in a world full of hurt and conflict. Here we can find common ground and learn to be friends in spite of differences. What I hate is when some people bring their differences into the Void and make it their personal battlefield. That will not happen as long as I and many others who love the Void have the strength to stop it.  That you can count on. Take it somewhere else. This is like a home to some of us and we won't have other people defecating on the living room floor.

It seems that we will forever seek utopia on the void. For some it is closer than others ;}

To be different, sometimes I prefer playing in an unbalanced world. Kinda reflects upon real life and its real imperfections.

I see Zeb is still doing his job.  If he wasn't, people wouldn't be mad at him. #-o   I have been a member of this community for about a year, so i know him rather well. :-SS   I know that he doesn't take frivolous action and I know he doesn't act out of spit. 8-} When I first came to this server, he was one of the first to welcome me and shortly after I joined AoF as a direct reaction to the way he treated me. 8-X   I also remember when he first became a Void.  It took him a bit to learn the ropes, but I think he has done rather well since then. =D>  
 
 In the time I've known him, I have seen him make mistakes as we all do. 8-|   I don't think he has ever acted out of spite as a Void and I also think that this post is an attack on him because some one got there cookies crumbled and are now crying about it. /:)   If you don't like something a Void has done, you should apeal it to an Admin, not start a topic like this.  All this is is proof that you needed more than what was actually done. ?   If you think you can do a better job than Zeb, applie to the Admins for the job and prove it.   If they agree, you might get the job and Zeb might get a break from it. :-SS   I personally think we are very lucky here to have as good a Void team and Admin team as we do =D>   I have played on several servers where I never saw any Admin at all and rule breaking was more common than not.  :-<I>:P

As a result, all i can say is GOOD JOB TO ALL THE VOID AND ADMIN STAFF AND THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE. ^:)^
