You obviously don't understand!!! If the large battles were causing server problems and making the area no pvp stopped those problems or at least made them manageable, then making the place a pvp zone again would just start the server problems all over again. Also, saying that it just makes it easier for traders is a mistake. I am a trader... I have been mostly a trader since I joined this server. I am good at it. But that doesn't means it's easy.
Even with Alexandria a no pvp zone, it still takes a lot of work to be a good trader. Making money is not easy as a trader, it is work. You have to keep track of various routes and what you can make on them. Alexandria does not have the best cash making route. I know of one route that makes considerably more than anything in Alexandria. All you have to do is fight off all the Rheinland outlaws to make this run. In Alexandria, the only safe route is from the jumpgates to Ptolemy. After that, the npcs get progresseively stronger and more aggresive. Then you come to Babylonia. The first time i went there I was greeted by Fugitives at the first planet, Pirates at the second, and a Pirate destroyer with 2 escorts at the first station... This is easy for a trader? After escaping the evil clutches of them Nomads and Outcasts? If you think being a trader is so easy, try it and see.
"IT"S TO EASY FOR TRADERS ETC....."
lol.. it actually makes it ALOT harder for Traders as the Pirates and Rogues can block off the Capitial Systems and stop them from entering. Plus if they dock at a planet in the Capitial systems. The Pirates and Rogues can stop them from undocking untill they can somehow flee by running away and using countermeasures.
i UNDERSTAND THAT IT WILL BE CHANGED BACK just why not now?
Mate.. the reason it can't be back now is because it causes the Server Problems.. and the server can't handle it. Like Strail said. It'll return in the new mod. And the new mod isn't coming out untill the New Server is here. Once they get the New Server. It can handle those problems which it causes on the one we have at the minute.
Now you know why they can't get it back now.. so please stop going on about the same subject. If you want information about it. Look up the previous topics which players have posted. All the answers are there.

Oh for goodness sake.
It will not be changed back because the issues causing it to become a no pvp zone have not yet been corrected. Currently, there are LESS issues with it being a no pvp zone than there would be if it was.
I really don't know how else to put it, its been said time and time again, but you clearly don't get it.

What can I say, at least the fire in this community is still burning. In the end of the day were all so passionate for our beloved Freelancer, none of us will rest until we have our ways. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that in the dictatorship we call the Void.

If its a choice the crushing lag I used to experience upon entering Alex, and having people complain about the lack of pvp, I take the complaining any day of the week. I can ignore this topic and any others if I want, but lag kicks me lol

Once Alexandira was a pvp zone.. nobody was really bortherd. They mostly pvped in Sparta because of the lag in Alexandira.. And now that it is gone. They want to pvp in Alexandira.. Thats a bit strange. Once they have something they dont use it and when it is taken away they want it really bad..
You can't have everything and be lag free at the same time.

True indeed. May I pose one question to you though:
When was the last time you were in a battle involving more than 6 Navy VS 6 Pirates?
I remember back when BBD were in wars against more than twice our numbers i.e. 6 VS 12. Those times were enjoyable. Like most I was forced to move on since Alex was no-pvp. I will say though that PVP in the masses has certainly toned down a notch. The mass PVP was what I lived for, I can go to any other server and have a pvp with one or two people, but when I get involved in massive brawls, lag or no lag, it was the most fun i've had in this game in ages. I will just have to pray that my wishes are answered in the new mod.
PVP to the core!
Regards
Lloyd

As Strail has said in his previous post. Alexandira system will be back to normal in the New Mod. It will be a pvp zone again. You just need to wait untill then ;)

I must say that you think only for yourself...
I would also like Alex pvp zone back, but there was always some blockade by gates. There is no DTA or XEF, but there are other Rogues who can't wait to see a AT. And tell me how do you think that ppl in ATs should escape if they undock from Berlin, let's say that there is one R waiting in front of Berlin. He escapes that one, dock to Alex, and there are 5 other Rs. It's impossible to escape, you need to be superman or something.
And if Navy would be guarding gate, R always attack trader when they see it, no matter how many other players are after him.
