Dublin, several bases, and jumpholes, NPC activity

Omega 41, few bases, lot of jump holes, NPC activity (corsairs and bounty hunters)

I agree that in time we should claim a place of our own, but at the moment, we should be nomandic in nature, alwas moving, keeping the enemies wondering where the -=REAVERS=- wil strike next.

A home system is, in my opinion, ludicrous. Personally, no one should pretend a home "system" unless you are simply referring to  the system your base is in. But to actually claim a system and say "our's... get out" is completely ridiculous. While I was Eclipse some ESF would try to say "Leave the system" if I entered Nomad1. *WHAT?* Telling a Nomad to leave Nomad1 because it's an Order system?  :-? Sorry but by definition it is a Nomad system... certainly it doesn't need to be spelled out for anyone. But at the risk of embarrassing anyone for the ESF I'll make an exception: "NOMAD1" Get it?

Anyway, I digress...  A home base is, again in my most humble opinion, necessary. From that point of view, I would say a rogue base is to suggest we are rogues, which we most certainly are not. In fact I seem to have to address that daily... No, we are not rogues... No our RP is not the same as rogues... Yes, rogues don't seem to understand the Rogue RP because if they did they wouldn't be playing it the way they do... OUR RP is more like a mob of lawless thugs. In fact, whether by quirk or by design, our forum is assigned to the -=REAVERS=- Mob, something that made me chuckle when I saw it. Kudos to Fracture if that was his idea, or Zeb if he requested it. That's perfect.

As such, our base should be a Zoners base. What do you find when you visit one? Bad guys. Where are they? Everywhere. Oddly, that's us in a nutshell. Bad guys that are everywhere. We are are a nomadic clan (not to be confused with Nomads) and as such our base(s) should be everywhere. But we can only have one official base and IMO it should be a Zoner base.

Zeb intercepted my thought about the tactical aspect of our base. You do NOT want a place where you can get trapped or that is remote. Unfortunately Freeport 7 exits only to Tempest  and Alaska, both of which have only one way out other than the one you get there from Omicron Minor. Blocking those systems is just blocking us in O-Minor further down the road.

I'd put my bid in for Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta. Yeah, I've heard others say it's theirs. So? Take it from them. That is also our RP. Call it ours anyway. Let 'em try to prove it isn't. It has tactical value and it's tactically sound.

Second choices would be Larissa (Omicron Gamma) and Nereid (Omicron Alpha).

And as to the idea that we should choose planets/bases where we would tend to go, oddly enough Zoner bases come to mind.

This clan should be in a main place, close to most of systems. What a clan like ours does in Zeta Leonis????. Tohuku, dyson, Osiris, Alpha, Theta, Gamma... and more are the perfect places for Reavers, and not Dublin, or Zeta....

My chars are where action is, not in dark and far system.

ok, let's face it, we like nomadic life, to strike where we want, but let's forget that on few seconds:

Omicron Minor is far, nobody goes there, so we aren't going there as well, i was bad idea, sry
                          BUT

what about Omicron Alpha?
It has access to Tau systems, to Omicron systems, to Nomad systems, and Alexandria as well, so we can reach almost every system from there easily

near other clan homes are: syndicate's home: Omicron Theta and ESF's home: Nomad 1, and maybe others....

I can think of worse places for sure.  For the same reasons given by Skeleton, if I had to choose a place to make our Home (and I am reluctant to do so for the moment)  - I would pick Omega 3.  it has 4 exits (2 Jump holes and two Jump Gates) Three dockable bases one of which is a Zoner base.  NPC's are easily handled (Hessians and some convoys) and a variety of  environments from Asteriod Fields to Clouds to clear open areas for PvP. Easy access to Home Systems and a variety of routes from the systems adjoining Omega 3.  The problem with Omicron Minor is that there is only one exit to Alaska and only one exit from Alaska into New York. Its a little different via Tempest - but there is still a limit to where you can get to reasonably quickly.  Dont get me wrong - I like the system, I just feel that if the other clans of the VOID decided to, we could be hemmed in tight  - All makes for a great battle, but in the end it would get a little tedious!  

The idea that Omicron Theta has a cooperative ownership is fantastic! Well done chaps! Syndicate, FTP and the Black Legion! Wow! You will be hard pressed to get past that lot - but its a big space.  With at least 4 Syndicate defenders and one FTP I have sneaked in and out via a variety of routes - but thats half the fun of it  - isnt it? Run the Blockade I say!  :D  

-=REAVERS=- wont have the luxury of backup as it does not fit with the RP as such - however, those who wish to enslave themselves are more than welcome!!!!  ;)

We will remain Wanderers for the moment - Pick some variant places to put your various Characters - remote locations - keep them guessing where we are coming from.  I agree with WatchWolf on this so we will not lay claim to a system.

Nomadic is perfect for now
Think about yesterday, The enemies can lock us in a base or system easily. Move in silent and never dock without a run strategy ^^

Thanks Wolfman..... That Ball is a PITA   - Shame we can shoot it down...!!  - hmm hadn't thought about LEEDS - goes to several places - some hidable back waters and borders on New London with a back door via Magellan  - lots of bolt holes...hmm - but as stated previously  - not right now...

Zeb my m8, this is problem that are we always sticking up to it

We don't need system with good tactical position, we need 1 so we can strike other clans home systems easily, somewhere from where we can reach homes of the strongest clans on Void

and we all know wihc are the strongest atm, I won't name them so others won't get mad at me
