Freelancer - The Void

Well said,as usual

Ok my opinion is that if people organize events here, they should be guarded by rules. What i mean, is that people get frustrated and they might even leave the server if some players interfere and spoil their event organizing, and most of all peolple get bored if there are no events or things like that. So i say: give people peace and freedom to organize events here, so that this server would be enjoyable place to us all due to succeeded events and competitions.

right i have read all these posts....interesting......

1) you cant attack a starflier under level 11 that a very close personal friend of mine and expect to get away with it

2) yes we did get asked to stop but as stated there is no law which stats no attacking ppl

3) apart from last night how many of u ppl sit in sparta all day gas baggin because u have nothing alse to do??????????

4) when asked again by a [VOID] we did stop until your game was over

5) wotever happened to good old wars that used to last 4 6 hours with no complaints ???that right i remember now there are to many small clans

6) THE SHADOWS ARE BACK IN TOWN SO WATCH YOURSELFS FROM NOW ON BECAUSE WE WILL LIVE UP TO OUR NAME

Ok, to clear up a few things
1. Nexiss, the shadows followed us from sparta to continue their harasment, and we do it in alex couse its the most convinient place, and the heavy pupulation as uve said helps to refill the teams when needed (not all the players stay all the time)
2. pest, yeah we could kill those shadows even with 10 men, but what good would it do? they would simply respawn and come back to harras, in the end of it we would simply be killing shadows and not doing the event.
3. if ppl want to abuse the law, and take unfair advantage, i agree with the fact its bad, but if each event will have to be accepted by the admins, and they will say the final GO on the event will u accept the law then?

simply that right now every man in the void system, even the worse fighting one is in position for harrasing the event and eventually canceling it, becouse u cant fight with regeners, and those who keep coming, so its like u kill him once twice, 30 times, but he keeps coming out just to spoil the fun for others.

All i can say is.. you get it the way you deal.

As you might know i organized some tournaments earlier, and there was only once a problem with interference (and that was very minor).

I want to give some contructive hints:

-Stage the event in one of the 50 systems no one is ever in
-Dont command players around by announcing the event (i was in sparta with my char the time fox announced it, he told ppl to "shut up" and "leave system" who werent interested in this event)
-if 2 ppl can disturb a 20 ppl event.. well thats poor for the 20!!!

i told every1 to be quite while i explain the rules couse if i wouldnt there be chaos in the sys channel and no one would understand the rules, like it was b4.

but like ive said, if u dont like my event dont come to it, host your own, i didnt saw any1 doing it so far...

@firefox if the old board would be online you would see i organized several tournaments in the past. No need to attack me verbaly.

So you told all ppl to shut up.. and wonder that not all heed your wish? and maybe even try to get a shot at you for that???

well nevermind.. but maybe you shoudlnt stage your events in the busiest system on the mod

alright leme just sum up all that happend yesterday, couse obviously it was bad for all, anyway on the future notice i will try not to command to much or sound too bossy, you are absoulotly correct its anoying and totaly un needed, however to maintain order inside the event (at least at its first stages) some sort of commanding must commence, i wont debate on that so dont even try,
now, i do apologize if i said to ppl tp leave, i had no intentions to banish any1, i said "then leave the system" as a joke that probably was a bad and missunderstood one.

now becker, i got 2 questions, if ull be so kind as providing me with an answer ill apriciate that alot.
1. how do u excpect me to gather ppl if no one is looking in the forums, and if ill anounce the event in a system that no 1 goes to, what good will it do?
2. how many rules your tournament had? well my event is much more complexed its like a mission rather then just fly and shoot, so it takes ppl quite a while to understand fully, and it takes a very hard work explaining the rules to the ppl for them to understand and to play and actually have fun with them, but im willing to do it, and i believe that the best way is to learn while playing.
anyway i dont disrespect your events so u dont disrespect mine.

Well here is a suggestion, there is a perfectly good system that is not used in which these events could be held, and it is Alaska...on many servers this system is the home of PvP. So if it was unlocked again (why wwas it locked in 1st place, it always used to be available?) it could be used. Or how about Tokosis (or however its spelt) that system is practically empty.

I too was up for a rule about non inteferance, but i'm back tracking a little. Maybe a system like alaska could be made event only, and interferance in this system could be an offence, so if you want an unmolested event thats where its held.

As a last surprise to you all (sorry Fox ) well done shadows for making a come back, your dirty tactics have been missed, this server has gone too soft n too safe. its gone PC nuts. When was there last a proper war i ask you. It seams clans declair war at the drop of a hat now, but there is no fighting. War used to me all out pitched battles, players fleeeing accross the whole server, yes there were a lot of dock pinnings, and other attrocities, but it was WAR PEOPLE, bad things happen. I'm glad the shadows are going to resume their unpredictable ways. it will be nice to fly arround never knowing if today is the day you get jumped.

I seam to remember a nice safe clan leaders meeting, until shadows turned up.......

announce your events in populated systems.. tell ppl who wanna take part to go to the event system (alaska for example). But dont explain everything in system chat in sparta; thats just annoying others who dont wanna play your event.

@ verminard...........ahh the clan meeting now that was a good one i had tears rolling down my eyes with laughter that night whilst we were all sitting in dock in untagged chars listening to wot was going on in the meeting,i wish i could have been a fly on everyones wall when we all switched chars and jumped the peace talk meeting. [now i know y were not invited anymore...lol].

To help I will put up an events section, this way it will be good for people to see. Also, for the guys like Firefox who have lots of good ideas (I've heard them ) this will be useful.

This board can also be used for people wanting to see whats going on on the server in terms of events - be it Firefox or Admins or any other players wanting to organise an event/storyline.

My two pennies worth....

...I arrived after the event had started...stayed away aswell until the words typed across system chat.."Ok people, New game kill all shadows...10 pts a kill"

....then I thought I would come play...but alas 5 mins after arriving and fighting the "Shadow killiers" had all but vanished

All I would like to say is this is freelancer..if things happen here they happen....or at least they used to b4 everybody started to only do aranged events/1on1 pvp in sparta or chat only.

So I ask you all wheres the fun in having everything planned out for u? ..I mean where's the excitment in Knowing what to expect all the time?

I missed the spur of the moment attacks thet leads to great battles..element of suprise etc. Please stop sleeping people ...these events don't have to be organised if you play the game instead of sitting in sparta half your online time they would happen more often ..thus livining the server up alot more than organised events(Tournaments are a completely diff. sort of event and needs organising tho.).
