Well I like the idea but think about that you will be really on the edge. One day helping navy if they will be outnumbered by pirates, evils and rogues and second day helping pirates, evils or rogues if they will be outnumbered by navy?
Hmm you will be KOS for all sides I guess. And it will be mix of some RP's.
For example every navy/order clan should escort pilots if they ask for it and of course for free. And there are some another things what you will be able to do with that [?].
Just thinking, it seems like a good idea I just hope it won't be something only little different like mixed tagged characters. If you won't cross the lines and if you won't do whatever you want it may be good.

I would have thought that the whole point of having the [?] tag shows that this is someone that, if you have not paid them, is someone that you should not trust and at the very least avoid if possible. I dont see it as "being on the edge" as it is quite clear what the [?] tag is about - its almost like the idea of the [M] tag (Mercenary) - again, "unofficial" but highly effective if you allow a certain amount of RP to evolve around it.
If you can handle the RP then there is no need for [?] tags to be KOS to everyone. If a clan is using their services then the clan just has to remember that if they are not using them they have to beware of them. The dangerous aspect of this is that [?] tags may not be necessarily publicising who their client is. You will find out when they either ignore you or shoot at you. The fun starts when two [?] tags come across each other and one is paid by the Navy and the other is paid by the Pirates. Do they ignore each other out of professional curtesy or do they do their clients bidding, thats if they know who each others client is.....!! ???
The other fun part comes when clients are competing for their services. Do they stay with a client until the contract is complete or do they sell out to the highest bidder? Becoming a turncoat for cash is a quick way to be KOS for sure! However - like with all mercenaries in any army - make sure they are paid and keep one eye on them and keep them in front of you, just in case!
Not everything needs to be painted in black and white. There is no possibility of there being any confusion of "dual tagging". That little episode a while back was clearly handled by ADMINS and the perpetrators were requested not to continue with the tags - those that did were banned. I have only recently witnessed the return of Free Escorts by the Order / Navy clans - before it was very rare to see this happen. This RP has returned due to the effective threat of Pirates and -=REAVERS=- which had been absent before due to the lack of effective taxation and the small number of effective "lawless" players. If the [?] players can post the required information regarding their RP and the "Do's and Don'ts" of being a Mercenary then there should be no reason why this cannot be an excellent addition to the VOID.
Great idea - Run with it.

Dont worry Gost i was just messing around.
As for me and Maj using the tags we use them as an off the wall RP character for when we want to have fun. Basically we help the needy, The people that are getting gang raped etc. It doesnt matter wether there a pirate rogue freelancer. They get help because these chars can.
But ghost ive got no probs you using the tags mate. Just dont get us into any wars and come fly with us some time
Greaver.

I didnt see this post earlier on,but i have to say i missed a geat idea.
When i first joined Void overa year ago i did come across the tag [?] or [E] for Explorer or something like that and i dont think it exists any longer but ur idea reminded me with the familiarity of that tag.
This is a very good idea and i definitely think u should go for it.It kind of balances ur Rogue RP.
The "fee" part,i am not too sure about that :-?? ,i dont know how much or in what way/form u could extract the fee,but maybe u should just keep ur services kind of "free".Ulimtaely u would enjoy and hopefully that would be enough. :)
