Hmmm..i not really need a n00b to help me or to help any Syndicate members in a fight or to kill somebody.
We can do it on our own way....alone! Not really need to hire somebody to kill a navy, thats the difference between the dark and the light side, we can do it by ourselfs

Good luck, I have flown as a merc on many servers, in a merc clan, and I know how difficult merc RP can be.

I've even posted about various little-used RP tags, including the shades of mercs, tho no one made any comments:

It IS true that most times mercs lean to Lawful (Assassins) or Unlawful (Bounty Hunters) targets, so it's not a big issue really.

However, no one should be free. Even if you're in the Navy you're still paid. It's not bein a merc, doin someone for free. Just not good biz.  :P

Well i have to say,when u give services free then u are literally having that clan as an ally,which means u are navy,back to square one.

But Frobozz out a good point about lawful merc and unlawful ones.

Seeing that u could be somewhere between a merc and bounty hunter.
I suggest that u dont make ESF  "free" but charge a little less than u wpuld usually do.

Thanks Frobozz. Youre right.  Its a tough RP to follow if you are doing it properly.  Sometimes there is a "grey" area between what a Merc and an Assassin's region of operation actually is.  It would be good to see a succesful Merc RP for a change.  

@ Xenon:  Thanks - you verified my point for me.  If ESF are BLOOD MONEY MERCS for the ORDER then what was the point in Ghosty leaving if he is not going to charge for his services?

It was just to get some clarification as the RP is a little "off mark" for a mercenary.  He might as well be wearing ESF colours for all the difference his "RP" is going to make.  However, if he goes down the line of the three points I raised then he stands a better chance of running a successful "INDEPENDANT" Mercenary RP rather than just being another ESF in disguise.

@Zeb-I think Ghosty had sort of decided to leave ESF quite some time back.If u read his last journal entries,u would see that he has resigned from top posts of ESF and was holding the lowest rank in ESF.

I think he just wanted some change,thats all.He also felt that his Void life wasnt heading in the "right" direction.
He was cocentrating more on Alliance v/s Coalition event idea.
I think to demand an answer on why he resigned might be going a bit too "far",kind of internal clan affairs,if u undestand what i mean.No offence.

Anyway the best answer would be from Ghosty himelf.

Im not interested as to why he left.  I understand that he is putting a lot of work into the Alliance V Coallition idea.  All I was asking is that if his rep was not going to change then why leave a well oiled and organised machine such as the ESF to go it alone with an RP that would appear to be on the surface EXACTLY the same. That was all I wanted to know.  The internal politics of ESF are a complete mystery to me and should remain so....

No offence taken.  Just trying to sort out the RP (and as you know RP is one of my favourite band wagons!)

love the way this server is so supportive , makes me wonder why anyone want to bother with anything for u players.

for the record ill run my Merc RP whatever way i choose and the only player that can tell me otherwise is Strail.

assasin isnt my style , merc is my style but if i have to change RP ill be applying to try and get a New RP setup.

as for the idea of me still being in ESF , well thats up to players to decide. trust isnt somethign u are given its soemthing u earn.

me leaveign ESF , their my reasons and if u want them u will have to ask in a pm becuase thsi post wasnt made for a flame an di would apreciated if u all didnt. ill be happy to gie reasons if u want them Zeb , i trust u more than others.

want to thank Zeb and Geomix speacilly. didnt realise anyoen but me actually bothered to read the entries or look at the work im doing with the Allaince Vs Coalition.
