I personally prefer the eagle because of its smaller size and turn rate. But i agree with most here that you should go with your flying style. If you like hit and run tatics i would go for sabre. However i prefer the eagle as it has more chance in a dogfight which is my preferred way of PVP

Here's another thing that might help you decide:

The subgroups. The Eagle and Sabre both have the same amount, so yes you might think that is even. But a head on collision with a torpedo or missile would be devastating to an Eagle, however not so tough on a Sabre. The reason is that the eagle's subgroups are all placed close together and meet at one point, so the blast would hit all 5 subgroups and deal maximum damage.

However, with a sabre, 2 of the subgroups are located way below the ship (the bottom of the ring) and the other 3 at the top aren't as close together as the subgroups on an eagle are.

I personally can't decide which ship wins, but there is a general rule some people follow:

Eagle beats Titan
Titan beats Sabre
Sabre beats Eagle.

i like faster ships so - Eagle.

the only thing that bothers me is that his turret is pointed at the back of the ship (can't fire in front)
