Reason: I do missions, and I would never do a mission that was only 200k. I also get to choose how much money (to an extent). Should be the same thing for Pirates.

no one pay for the taxes
unless your ganging on a person to get that tax
i dont think that by increasing the money for the tax
that people will decide to pay up...
no one goes to Alex for trading (exept sometimes a few people)

we must start somewhere... if there will be a question about more profitablle trade routes then someone could say that pirates wont tax because 200k is not worth it... but improved tax scale + more risky and profitable routes thats what we need... so this may be the beginning

Please guys, remember that traders only need to drop all their cash in their bank account and they'll be taxed as newbies.
To make this possible we should have a top in our bank accounts or make something different.
I like the idea of a cash-disruptor(refire rate=5min). Instead of stoping you, when you're hitted by one of this missiles you directly lose about 0.5% of your cash. Funny, right?  :D But we'd have the same problem with players hidding their cash in the bank.

As I said before, scales by rank have no sense for mainly 2 reasons.

Technnical: because any player have /bank command

Quantity: Because taxes should be based in the profit&loses analysis each time, and not in a scale. It is common sense.

3 million tax for example: Who is going to pay 3 millions tax?, the max you lose maybe is 500k aprox if you are killed. You can say, if you pay you are free to trade. Yes, that is true but you can be taxed by other pirate, and then................

Scales are not the best way for a pirate RP. It is a mistake. But I know that nobody listen to me, it is not a nice point of view.

The discussion still alive and to be constructive it is not say yes or not. To be constructive is to say yes or not, say another pont of view, and say why. If you dont want a discussion, just post a poll.

Sorry eagleone and others, but if we paste our points of view here is just because we think this is a waste of time. Whatever you decide here will be unusefull if traders put all their money in the bank.

Yeah you're right in fact. It's just that Eagleone meant to make a poll out of this, and the poll option didn't work for some reason, so he asked for everyone to just put in a simple 'yes' or 'no', to replace the poll sort of speak.
The idea was to count votes and then propose the idea to the admins.

Regarding this is his thread, I think we should respect his request.
