Well HFC did it's part today to bring back the piracy. Today [HFC]Cursed_One[X] and I performed a few system raids, and fought against the 4S_Squad members that tried to drive us from the systems we decided to seize. The battles were long and bloody, but well fought on both sides. Thank you 4S_Squad for the great fights and RP!

Pirate life is almost impossible on Void

- there is rare pilots who pay tax even if got killed several times :I
- once some1 from the "good" guys killed by a pirate, the horde of another "goods" comming to there to gangrape that "inocent" pirate:I
- another reason you have to be gangraped :I (same if you wear R tag or you are EVIL)
- damn how many times i saw in syschat "im navy; im (anybody) and i can't pay tax" or other weird thigs

c'mon 200k only, on a decent 1 minute traderun you can find 10x times more than this

Maybe i'll be navy or other "good" RP member of Void otherwise i must be punished by another "good" guys just coz im EVIL

gretting to all pirates but the time is for talking but for action.

90% of  pilots don't play well....they just only make pvp with somes stranges rules.

the clans do the same thing and at this time i across without problems every system.....NO COMMENT!!!

As to the pirates life being impossible, you have it all wrong.

I am not a pirate for the tax. How much money will I make at 200k tax even if everyone did pay? Give me a break. The pirate life isn't for everyone. I do it for the thrill of the hunt, raiding systems and siezing bases, and sticking it to "The Man". You want to make money? Become a trader. You want to live the free life outside the Government and Corporations rules with a group of like minded people? Become a pirate!

Like becker said. Also people seem to forget why the limit of 200k was introduced. When there was no limit most pirates asked for an unrealistic amount of tax from players who could ill afford it - thereby making the game unplayable for them.  There needs to be a balance. If we remove the limit my conern is that the same situation will arise again (although not from HFC).  In order for the RP of a Pirate to work the traders and other players have to be willing to "play the game" too.  Sadly most of them only "rp" when in suits their purposes.

"Pay tax or die" - now if its only 200k I know Id rather pay it!  In order to catch the F1'ers raids need to be co-ordinated better - a solo Pirate turning up and asking for tax is likely to be either very disappointed or very lucky.  I have no objection to people refusing to pay the tax - thats all part of the RP - why should a trader part with his hard earned money? By all means make a run for it. Just remember that the price you will pay is that you will loose your cargo and be hunted for non payment of tax.  Like becker said - this has been gone over before. Pirates need to select characters that are actually carrying cargo - why? Because there is not urge to pay up if all he will do is regen back where he started and have lost nothing - ok, they then run the risk of being on the "wanted" list and being hunted for non payment.

I wish HFC all the best in reintroducing the Pirate RP - these guys will do it right of that I have no doubt.
To the rest of the VOID - if you want this place to work then you have to go along with the RP - I will personaly start banning habitual "F1'ers" fine or no fine - worse still I will personaly strip all your assets from you if you continue this particular sort of bad behaviour.  Play the Game - and Scream On....!

Sorry to burst your bubble but the rules wont be changing anytime soon - its ONE payment of 200k and no "payoffs" - I get wind of anyone extorting money by overkill and I will ban their sorry backsides...! Play it within the rules - no one said it was easy.

Here is another thought - will Pirates be docking at Navy / Lawful bases? I hope not - ~Ive seen a few do it and I have altered their rep to be "unlawful" so watch your alliances carefully - same goes for the navy - I keep being asked for nomad reps so that folk can go buy equipment - guess again - its not happening. Earn it!

Stony and I will bring back HFC in the old school ways that I had when here before. I am not looking for a rule change for tax amount. I will admit that we have docked at "Navy" bases, but only to get weapons so we can stand a chance against other players, actually be close enough to navy to challenge them (i.e. everyone is in Sparta and bothering to hunt the pirates), and more importantly, being able to fight the right NPC's to alter our reps to the unlawful which we are doing (Bounty Hunters can be a pain lol). And just so we can get established and learn our way around again.

Why not add a tax levelling system?

lvl 25-34 = 10k
lvl 35-44 = 100k

etc etc...

or, as someone else said, a command system for tax.

for me i think it's true many pirates and rogues are traitors. Why?....Simple  the money!!!!

Good to hear mate. Lets hope that folks start to apply some common sense to the whole RP thing for Pirates - we need it badly! With the new release scheduled for this weekend then there are plenty of things afoot and new stuff to discover ...!

Well you know how I did it, and I pan to do it that way again  :D

On a side note, I know that you can get capital ships now, but I have not noticed any "unlawful" worlds that have a mooring dock for them. How are the pirate clans supposed to get a capital ship, assuming they want one, without docking at a "lawful" planet? Even in the old days of real pirates, ships were captured by the pirates and used by them, giving them access to equal technology as it were.
