@ Dynasty
popular music means for me:
wich contain general topic about how they feel, wanna act, or my favorite how they suffer
suffering is so so popular thing since 80's, and the best in that those song lyrics writers are? maybe felt something like that as their words say/sing-ing but c'mon...
...or maybe 2-3 of them is real;p
song factories all around the world, they goal to sell all of their stuff, nothing more, nothing less. like those movies from hollywood with their superheroes when some1 against the world... POPular music wich running on MTV 24/7 except those rare hours when some chill out or Rock/Metal you can hear
in this case they can say, its not just about money making or to be famous
TOP 3 for me is: 604, DnB, Ambient/chill out
and some others like 80's 90's Metal, Rock
i grown up with QUEEN, ABBA, Depeche Mode, Metallica. They knows how to make excellent music and gave me a level of music understanding (almost forgot to mention Erkel Ferenc, Johann Strauss and many more

+ some "recent" Michael Kamen and Jeff Wayne)
where is the new ones like the old ones? Michael Jackson, Madonna, Freddie Mercury, Jean Michel Jare, Enigma. nobody individual these days. just a copy of the copies
Sorry about the off topic, i just wanna open some eyes........ ;)

Making origional music these days aint easy as people would say that its already been done. there are 1000's of motifs out there that people could use but i dont know, the mass produced music these days just sound the same to me, Which is why having a larger range of musical taste even the dredded 'classical' music. As much as people hate Metallica, no one can defy that they were pioneers, And anything before the 'Black' album (maybe SnM) is just pure genuis.
Demonlord i beg you to open your mind away from all this wanna b gangsta stuff, if you like the musical side to it then please look at some underground artitsts who most likely have 10x more talent. But if all your in it for is the 'bitches' and 'eye' candy then you will understand one day.

u said it all mate!!!
+1
...And Demonlord....those videos u posted up there, thats not even a true rap anymore, its just a fancy mainstreem popular music(if i can call it a music) for masses that spreads the worng message for caring only for material things to people that are listening to it,and thats not the right way that a musician should look on a world he's living in.
That are the facts that makes them stupid and primitive
