If you just overview the proposal about money I have to say that it seems vary fair. But when you analize it deeply then you find a lot of inconveniences. Strail said many times his opinion and I respect a lot his decision because I understand very well the consecuances of a Pay server

Let me explain you some reasons because Paying is wrong in this case:

-When you pay you buy a service or product. So Admin would be slave of the people that are paying for playing. Maybe you think that you just pay for playing and keeping open a server but in case of something goes wrong then some ppl could complain and they would be "right "

-If paying is compulsory for some, those payers would "own" the server. So, think about those players, that are playing and paying and think they have more rights than others, and then their acts are not as good as they could be. When you pay you have rights, when you donate you just give for free.

-Many young people should get money for playing. I have 2 sons, and definetely I wont give them money for a game in Internet. And I would not like to know they are paying for that. I prefer they pay for sports, travel. etc.... and I am sure that many others think like me.

there are more reasons but those are the most important in my opinion.

Void is wonderfull because ppl play here for fun, help and participate as volunteers, and are part of Void comunity just because they want to do it. Paying would be a solution for the life of server, but I like to thing that the server still live thanks to us, all of us, admin, staff,clans,etc.... This is the way how I see it

Your idea is good just because your intentions trying to help were goods, so dont upset and continuing trying to add ideas :)

Babieca, you are totally correct and have given me a totally different perspective of my idea.

My philosophy has always been to try and provide for everyone without having to compromise my independence because people pay money and expect something different. We, as a community have always been able to balance this and money has never been a point of "favouritism" and will remain that way. I like to treat those who havent donated equally with those who have, because, in life, there are those who are fortunate to have spare money and those who havent. In an online game, we should all be equal.

Lets leave the money side out now and agree to differ.

My point to post was the difference between the aspiring and the professional.
I thought that the professional clans would get the ingame stuff and the aspiring clans wouldnt. The reason for this is that modding the stuff in game takes a lot of time and whilst the clans who get them move on, the professional clans show and demonstrate enough commitment to make it worth the time and trouble.
You see already we have many many clan bases not used as the clans have gone, split etc. in only 3 mths.
I dont have a "you must be here for so long before you get.." philosophy, just a "this clan ticks the boxes and is good for the server" idea. This way you have a balance between encouraging good clans and rewarding those who put the effort in.Whilst at the same time, the other clans enjoyment is enhanced as their peers have the same values and ideals for the server and community.

Yup, that is what I meant when I asked for a clear difference between Professional and Aspiring clans. I think this is the right decision. Can't really add much. But I agree 100% that the Professional clans, which show the most dedication, will make all the mod work worth while. I think this is a good idea.
I am just not clear on one thing (although this maybe is something to decide over in a later stage). How will the professional clans have a vote in deciding the fate of the others? Will there be a forum section where polls will take place, or will the clan leaders receive a PM with the poll, after which they will have to put this poll on their clan site for a curtain amount of time?
