@Nomad: Yup m8, but you might not see anything of it just yet. With the coming of the new mod, I don't think this is on top of his priority list. But you never know. This just gave him something to work from on a certain idea. Patience, my friend.

I wonder if we would be asigned for writing some stories and Dynamic news showing on each base and planet across sirius , and that indeed would need 4 kinds of RP stories according to the 4 Major Spaces of Sirius.
i believe patience is a good word fitting this situtation

Well since we got a decent list now, I don't see the harm in telling. It's not that it was a big secret, it's just that if I would have told it right at the start, some people would have listed up because they might have thought it would make them look good. But I think the list is sufficiently long now, and maybe telling what it's about will attract even more volunteers in case not everyone comes through.

Strail was thinking of creating a section on the homepage of this site which would show a daily updated RP Story. The reason for this would be to attract more players to the Void. I am not sure if the story would consist of small separate stories, posted by each poster individually, or that it would be one big continuous story, getting longer with each post. The reason for the list here is to get a number of dedicated RP writers, who would be able to post their part at least once a week and would actually come through with it. It's up to Strail to pick who he wants to post there, since it needs a certain amount of dedication. If some posters would not post, there would be gaps in the story and eventually it would die out. So the ones who will get picked have to realize that they really have to come through on what they have listed up for, otherwise the idea would not work.

The reason you haven't seen anything of this yet, is that Strail has been really busy with RL stuff of late, just like some of us. The time he has left to work on the mod and site is without a doubt occupied with more pressing matters.
I haven't heard anything that would indicate that this idea is no longer active, so I am sure that when he has the time, he will pick up on it.

If I receive news of any kind, I'll be sure to tell you about it. However, I am also sure that Strail is reading this topic, even though he is not replying. And when he starts working out the idea, I think he will prefer of updating you with any news himself.

So this is what this list is about.
On a side note however:

Everybody who really likes writing RP stories, can of course at any time, write one and post it here in one of the RP sections, the same way as the Katar Saga's get done. (Great work buddy! ) Posting it here will also make them show up in the forum overview on the home page. The only difference is that it gets pushed down after some time.

In my opinion, the best thing you can do is to submit your story as news. This will make it show up in the news section on the top of the home page, and it won't get pushed down as quick as a forum post. If you don't know how to submit news, take a look at the following picture. You can submit news by clicking on the 'submit news' link on the left and slightly down on the home page, as I highlighted in the image.



A little hint: the people who have been listed here, might want to start posting news on a regular basis. Not only to make the Void look a bit more attractive, but also to show Strail that they actually can post stories on a regular basis and give him the confidence that they will follow through and this idea will work.

To lower the threshold for submitting news, maybe this thread can be helpful to you.
