Freelancer - The Void

A famous English Clipper, named Cutty Sark, has been destroyed in the fire, according to the experts, 50 % of the ship however, had been transformed to different location before the fire started, because it was undergoing heavy repairs already - including her rigging and all masts. The experts also say, that the ship will be fixed, no matter what.

I wanted to bring this up, because i love tall ships, and i've also visited on this one back in August, 2006. Too shame i also lost my taken Photos of it, when my HP popped.

yeah, that vessel is the only one in the world of its kind...

Last of teh Great Clippers and fastest if I remember rightly.  I'd rank her right up there from a national pride and maritime hostorical perspective, equal to the USS Constitution here in the US. So glad she'll be saved. What a terrible loss that would be.

It's a sad day for naval historians indeed..but we still have HMS Victory..the oldest commisioned naval vessel in the world and one of two remaining ships of the line

i just looked on the web to find some pics an found these ppl are saying the fire was caused deliberatly how some1 can destroy part of there own history il never know


this was taken b4 the fire

i'm hoping it wasnt set alight on purpose, a part of our history that should be respected...

it is a little fishy that now the money needed to restore it has run out, it 'catches fire' but is still repairable as "fortunately" all the key parts were removed for storage......


coincidence or just good luck, we will never know..........

You'd be surprised..people have been deliberately destroying history since history has been recorded..

There's a well known saying that sums it up pretty well "The victors write the history books"

Unfortunately this kind of things happens very often in my country...

Someone hammers invaluable statues....someone steals precious ancient artworks from digging sites to bring them to museums abroad....
