I lost a good player from my team this week. In no way shape or form do I blame that player for their choice. He had the honour and courage to tell me why he had chosen to do so and for that I thank him - DKH do not deserve you my friend. Thank you for giving the -=REAVERS=- your time and supreme efforts.
What I do object to is the dishonest way that was used to approach this player, and that several other members of my clan were deliberately targeted by the leader of DKH in a concerted campaign designed to undermine any strength that my mob has been able to regain over a peroid of inactivity. This method of recruitment is both underhand, dishonest and unworthy of someone who claims to be a VOID Veteran.
Sure- people change clans - some change them more often than their underpants. I have no objection to people being approached - but to constantly bombard them with requests even after being told "no thank you" is a slap in the face to anyone who has a clan of their own.
I have been approached by some and have always told them to be up front about leaving their clan before jumping ship. I do not make it a habit to approach and pester tagged clan players and if I have ever spoken to a clan member about joining I have asked ONCE and if refused I have left it at that - it has also tended to be when they are in their non clan characters that this has happened.
So - to the point of this post and as a counter to the underhanded way that my members have been approached:
-=REAVERS=- would like to invite those who feel the need for a change from their present routine. Our RP is not an easy one and it is one that on the whole we tend to stick to unless circumstances dictate that communication is required to resolve certain technical issues or in game queries - this comes mainly from the leadership - ie ME.. !
I am pleased to say that most former members were able to handle the tough RP very well and with very few exceptions. I am pleased to say that all of the current members have held to the tradition of silence under some very difficult circumstances and I am also very happy that in the absence of concerted leadership they have been able to act as independant raiders or have had the self discipline to organise their war bands when more than one of them are on at a time. We are presently working on an offsite webpage and are currently getting all existing -=REAVERS=- on board before opening it to a general audience. This turned out to be something that I did not expect. There was an expected limited life to this mob - but thanks to the current and past members it seems to be something that is here to stay on the VOID, at least for as long as I am here!
This is an open invitation to all members of DKH to be part of a well disciplined and self motivated mob that undertake to promote a very difficult RP and not to deviate from it where at all possible - unlike some clans that claim to be one thing and then deviate from it at a moments notice...! This is also an open invitation to other members of other clans who feel the need for a change. It is also an invitation to any freelancers that feel they can undertake a tough RP such as the one the -=REAVERS=- have chosen to adopt.
There is one proviso - All members of other clans are required to inform their leadership of their wish to change over. I am making this invitation public to counteract the present underhand and subversive recruitment activities used by Xenon. I'm sure I'm not the first victim of this practice and I doubt I will be the last! This is to aviod any ill feeling from other clans and prevents any multi clanning concerns and conflicts. Please PM me in the first instance if you have any interest in joining the -=REAVERS=- mob. Members of DKH are most welcome, but please remember that treachery will be treated in kind. Now dont all rush at once.........
