Freelancer - The Void

Greetings pilots of Void,

I just received Freelancer in the mail yesterday, and I really enjoy the game. I've been playing in the single player and it is extremely fun!

However I went to see what the online play was like and unfortunately, no servers were up.. My first thought was "Ok, this game came out a few years back, maybe the online is just dead." But after a quick online search (from which I came upon this site) I learned from the Void forums that this is a universal server issue.

I hope to join in when they come back up, and I'll try and think up a character name. But in the meantime, I'd just like to say..

this game might be considered "old" but its playability is still in effect - thanks to the likes of Strail and Rimshot who have and still put a lot of effort into it.  Spread the word!  We may not all be Xbox and PS3 savvy but this beats knocking a pixel around in "Pong" ..... hehe

Yes man, you came in a very bad moment, but wait. No matter how long. If you like single player then your brain is gonna FLIP when you see the Void.  :P

Thanks guys. I have a question though, will installing any of the mods required to play on Void effect the single player game in any way?

Welcome to the void Shifty, and yes if you play singleplayer there will be some changes from the original SP

Is it possible to turn the mod on and off? (Haven't downloaded yet, still @ work)

yes you just activate and deactivate in Mod Manager
