i would like to know what's everyone favorite movies
what's peoples favorite action movie or horror movie?

Silent Hill, Warlock, End of Days, All the Saw movies,Taxi Driver, One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest.

But really to many to mention...  :D

My favourites are Mad Max, Last of the Mohicans, Enemy Mine, Silent Hill, Warlock, End of Days, All the Saw movies, most films starring Tom Hanks and Mel Gibson, the indiana jones trilogy, the Trekkie films, and a lot of old black and white movies starring the old hollywood greats. and anything starring Robin Williams.

Hmm...I'm not really an action/horror guy...

But as far as action goes...I loved The Matrix...and Children of Men was awesome, too...


But my all time favorite movies?  The bizarre comedies like Dogma, Pulp Fiction, and all the Monty Python flicks.

Too many to list, but here are some I like.

The Godfather, Fight Club, Goodfellas, Blue Streak, Gladiator, Troy.

Gotta love the gangster films.   <):)

Got to go with Liman on Kellys Heroes - awesome movie!

I like westerns:  John Wayne: True Grit, Chisum, The Sons of Katy Elder, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Also Tombstone, Dances with Wolves and others such as Glory, and anything with Clint Eastwood - Particulary "A Fistfull of Dollars".  The Alamo (original and the remake) and The Wild Bunch.

War movies: Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers, Full Metal Jacket, The Longest Day, Battle of Britain, The Blue Max, Carve Her Name With Pride, Michael Collins, FlyBoys (some brilliant W W 1 flying!), 633 Squadron, The Dam Busters, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Great Escape, Hamburger Hill, Platoon  and many many more.

SciFi / Adventure:  Star Wars (all of em), Dune (and the TV movie version also), Blade Runner, Serenity, Stargate, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Matrix Series, All of the ALIENs movies, Predator 1 & 2, (AVP was Shyte..sorry) All the Mummy movies including the most recent one (crap story - but loads of Boys Own japes and jests!) All the Batman movies - but the best two are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight (if you have not seen it GO SEE IT NOW!)  The Untouchables, ConAir, The Rock, All the Indiana Jones movies, The LOTR trilogy, The Transporter, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Gone in 60 Seconds, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, From Dusk till Dawn, Lost Boys, Ronin, Midnight Run, Resident Evil Series, The Fifth Element, The Last Samurai, Starship Troopers, Terminator series, Gross Point Blank, Deliverance, Mission Impossible 1 and 2, Gladiator, Master and Commander, Bourne Series  and a load more where that came from.

On a lighter note:  Dark Star (see if you can Google it - 70's hippy scifi spoof), Hot Fuzz, Police Academy, Meet Joe Black, Roxanne, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Southpark The Movie, Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks 1&2, Chasing Amy and Dogma.....
Phew! I like movies - but not too much "hack and slay" - I like escapist nonesense and senseless violence within certain boundaries - so Silence of the Lambs and Texas Chain Saw Massacre do absolutely nothing for me....lol

And before you ask - yes they are ALL favourites  - I would be hard pressed to pick out one....ok I will:
