Deimos:
Highly underestimated, not seen much. For a fact that it's pretty darn fast when flown right. It only has 2 class 8 turrets and 4 main class 10 guns, but it's enough. The power supply is more than sufficient even for brawling. The strafing is exceptional. Of one of the few HF's, it has a class 10 shield, and both a CD and a torp slot. A very good ship to counter missile boats because of the strafing abilities and the Cd slot.
The Deimos can really take any ship it runs into. Trust me. 
Sabre:
Along with the Deimos, one of the main underestimated ships of our mod. Maybe yet even better strafing abilities than the Deimos. Enough class 10 guns to pose a real threat. A bit less power than the Deimos, but enough for brawlers. Very agile. Although it only has one torp/CD slot, so you will have to choose between a torpedo launcher or a CD launcher. If you go for the torp tube, the ship will be more vulnerable to missile boats.
It seems this is a very hard-to-hit ship.
Anubis MK2:
The alllrounder. Awesome armor, power supply and weapon slots. Although one of the slowest turning ship, certain flying techniques can make it compete with more agile ships. I have beating Eagles in it. It's just how you fly it. And it can take a real pounding. One of the few ships that don't get blown up after the first torpedo hit.
Edit: of course the anubis is a slow ship, not a very fast one lol.

NPC - I use a VHF - The Titanium Cruiser- excellent ship, shame is bugged for PvP
PvP I use all types of ships, depends of the RP I play. Being ganged I use Viper, 1vs1 maybe WA1, big battles I like Annubis, but I like LF too sometimes when server is not laggy, Discover is nice to fly, and of course the eagle Shame it is bugged too for PvP.

i personaly like the anubis mk2 vhf. i am a red dot killer. and nothing beats a heavy hull, 7 guns a torp ,cd,mine and cm. with a ton of power. i only use 1 blaster to save power everything else is lev 10 heavy guns and i can maintain a steady rate of fire for over 15 sec. enough to kill any npc with very few exceptions.
if i were to pvp i would not use this ship however. unless it was a big war then it is good to go as it can take a few hits while swing thru enemy fighters chasing a target.

Well, I used to fly in PvP HF ships, but I'm now using VHF Anubis MkII. I used to have like more kills with torpedoes then with my guns. Then I switched to VHFs because with Anubis I can make more damage with guns only and I stopped using HFs at all, only I still have it in my main char, but just exploring with it these days...
So VHF Anubis MkII for me

I tend to choose ships for balance between effectiveness in PvP and PvNPC combat, and I don't much like mucking about with rockets, so torp-only slots are definitely out. With that in mind:
The Valkyrie N1 is and always will be my main ship- a good balance of speed and power make it pretty versatile in spite of the single CD/torp slot. Plus it looks cool, which was really the only reason I ever needed to get it in the first place. (Which is to say, back when it only had 5 forward-firing weapons)
The Highbred - A lot like the 'Valk', but trades off a bit of agility for more defence, especially against torps on account of the lack of subgroups, and all the forward-firing weapons being guns lends it a better degree of setup-flexibility. Also looks cool.
The Claw (also known as the Stingray for some reason) - one of the lesser-used ships, possibly on account of the class 9 turrets and dreadful power-array. (Which is incidentally where my preference for Nomad Energy weapons comes in handy)
However, it's reasonably agile, and the twin-CDs make for a good defence against missile-boats.
Got some good use out of this one in the past. Doesn't look quite as cool as the two above, but hey- we all need to make sacrifices.

I'm still using the same ol' Gladiator VHF wich i have purchased since the release of the 2112 mod.It's getting pretty rusty and makes strange noises sometimes but it still runs.
The reason why i picked this ship (and you might laugh) was becasue of it's "good looks"...i mean just have a look at it what's there not to like?:

It also comes with great firepower and good maneuvrability but like i said the looks of it was the main reason for picking it and i don't regret my choise as it was this ship wich lead me to slaughter countless hordes of npcs
When it comes to picking a good ship for pvp :-? hmm ,how would i know i'm just a noob npc killer :D

I voted for VHF,cos they are stroger than HFs and LFs its just they are harder to fly because they turn slower than heavy fighters.My favorite ship is Conqueror whit tizona and annies

HF for me. It looks like I need to say a good word for WA1. Nobody has yet !
The perfect choise for a g/o, sniper fighter. Agile enough to avoid the fire power of an VHF and deliver a considerable punch to his anoing 10th level shild and impresiv hull at the same time manuvrable enough not to be very auturned by a LF and tear it apart in 2 shoots. The rest is about skill as allwais :D
The number of experienced players using it is the proove to sustein my opinion.
Same goes for viper. Great ship too iven i dont prefer it.
