maybe void people can setup a shipyard or two in space that can do "paint jobs",
so sum more personalisation can take place...

I like it! Customised skins. There was a move to have clans with their own ships and skins - again to make this a dynamic "menu choice" paint shop would probably drain most of us "low end" users cpu and ram to operate - But a good idea none the less...! One thing at a time I suspect.

Yeah, 'pimp my VHF' lol! I like it. In order for it to work I think there would have to be designed a number of skins for each type of fighter. Designing skins can be a handful, but maybe if we were to delegate this job, we could spread out the work. This would be cool m8. I can already see myself docking with the yard and paying some credits for a shiny new paint job.
But maybe picking up the clan skin idea again would be a good start...
