flame section

All sufficiently large communities on the net have flames, and the Void is no exception. We've seen it happen before, and it most probably will happen again: it'll continue until the topic(s) where it started are locked, which prevents players who don't want to flame there post relevant stuff - for example, RP. Instead of this, I'd like to ask if a Flame section could be opened, where flaming is allowed ("Do it here, and only here!"), so that such posts could be moved there, and no damage would be done to the original thread. In addition, by doing so, people who don't want to read flames won't have to. And people who want to flame would have a place, an outlet, where they could do it.
To the admins: could you make one? To everyone: do you think this is a good idea, or is it, in your opinion, a bad one?
[I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but if it's not, feel free to move it elsewhere.]

No, it's about opening an official section, not an unofficial post. Threads could hardly be moved there, now could they? :/

Like with the Über-Spam thread, I don't see the harm in it. As long as it gets rid of the flames on the regular threads, then why not? It would make the forum a bit of a better place the way I see it.

I just think that if there is a section made along these lines, threads posted there should not show up on the "Recent Topics" list.

There's a good point lol.

And another point, this wouldn't stop flaming happening from threads that weren't originally intended for flames. Take Zeus' "Chaos & Death in Nomad1" thread for example; this post was a simple RP thread that turned ugly. But it is a start, and I think we should give it a go and see what happens.

Flames Section -----> Enhance Flamers to Increase there activity ------> Direct all Flames to one Section -------> Turn the Place into a Fighting FORUM ZONE -------> Although this is a Game Server + website then the thing will be a FORUM GAME + Server not used.
Think about it -

So you think that some people would actually prefer to come to the forum section to have a go at flaming someone, instead of playing the game? @-)

[From another thread - sorry for not being able to tag the quote exactly, it's been locked]
PS - of course i wont share in this Flame posts thread bs , i dont think that can help community , its just an idea which will increase the stupid and kiddish irrespectable posts in the website.
[/quote]
You misunderstand: I didn't suggest this so people would be encouraged to go flame there. My original thought that was since there'd always be people who'd start flames in response to "regular" posts/threads, it'd be a lot better if those posts could be moved to a separate section, and the original thread would be kept free from flames. In my opinion, that'd be considerably better than the current system, which even "punishes" those who didn't take part in the flaming, by locking whole threads.
And if there'll be people who want to be forum warriors and spend most of their time in the Flames section, well... There's a friendly community waiting for anyone outside that place, so it's their loss :)
Oh, and if there're people with the intent to post "stupid and kiddish irrespectable posts", they'll do it as soon as a chance pops up in any regular threads. So having a containment-like section wouldn't really encourage them to do so, since, in my opinion, they already want to start flaming at any good chance they get.
Still, thanks for taking part and sharing your opinion with us, even if you think it's "bs". (Battleship? :P Just kidding.)
You made a valid point there. Yet even if such a flaming section would be opened, and your prediction came true, it could still be shut down :)
And mightybean's idea is a very good one: if posts in the Flames section wouldn't show up in the "Recent topics" list, it'd help cool them down a bit. It'd also be good if posts in that place wouldn't increase anyone's post count :D (I think I saw such a thing implemented in other places, and it probably was phpBB too.)
