Weekly Sig Competitions - Info

Post by **Koumori** » Thu Apr 16, 2009 4:08 pm

As of tomorrow I will be hosting weekly sig competitions similar to those held some time ago by Azuth and Firefox. The following rules are based on what I can remember of those used in the previous competitions.

The beginning of each competition and ‘theme' will be announced every Friday. The theme entails a set of conditions each entry must meet- this includes size restrictions and the overall style of the sig. (e.g. fantasy, tech, must include animations, etc.)

Entrants will have until the end of Monday to PM their signature to Sig-Entries. On Tuesday a poll will be opened in which all non-entrants may post to vote on which signature they think is the best. The polls will be closed, and the winner announced on Thursday.

Additionally, entrants may not put any of their own forum or ingame names on their signature or otherwise reveal which one is theirs until the poll closes.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them up here.

Entrants will have until the end of Monday to PM their signature to Sig-Entries.

That's this account here. I'll also be using it to post all further competition material to save confusion.

Edit: The first competition is now open to entry: http://www.voidserver.com/modules.php?n ... 366#206366

Good man. All anyone has to do to participate is PM their entry to this account after the start of the competition and theme are announced.

See this topic: http://www.voidserver.com/modules.php?n ... 366#206366

Contrary to apparently popular opinion, there is no 'signing in' stage- you don't even have to let me know beforehand that you're entering. All you have to do is PM your entry to me (that is to say, this account) and it will be submitted into the competition if it meets the requirements stated in the aforelinked post.

Ahem...

you have not mentioned any rewards though.

Any rewards as such for this competition?

The title of victor and the associated honour within the great signature graphics arena? I don't know- do you have anything to suggest? I'm going to be running these every week, so I won't be able to get together terribly impressive ingame cash prizes that frequently.
