Freelancer - The Void

I'm trying to find a comprehensive thread that shows screenshots (or renders) of the various ships available in Void, but I'm not having any luck.  Does such a thread exist and can anyone link me to it?  Namely, I would like to see what cruisers, frigates, and/or battleships are available for purchase.

My other question is: Is Void as restrictive about the ownership and usage of battleships as Discovery is?

Are the trade runs profitable?  Meaning, for example, can I earn $20 million in an hour's time or am I going to be earning a few million in several hours time?

Very much up to how you want to play it.  Normaly its a case of exploring and figuring out the initial trade routes that will gain you cash.  Persistence and maybe the occasional hint from ingame players will assist you.  The Bigger the Trader the Bigger the Profit - you may have to travel some distance to make a killing on the products market or you might get lucky and find a profitable short route... Have fun figuring it out.

Actually, there are some trade routes that can earn you around 1-1.5 million credits per minute. So, in roughly two or three hours, you can earn enough money for a battleship. You're gonna be bored by that time, though - and possibly shot at too :P

Oh, and there are no such spoilers on the Void forums. You'll have to get out there and explore, or join a clan that has such information available to its members.

Thanks, so far it's looking good.  I'm considering moving my faction from Discovery over to here.  We were rather hoping to get the use of a cap ship or two for our RP, but their restrictions are just too severe the latest patch quaddrupled the time it takes to earn 20 million credits.

Battleships here arn't to expensive. And earning cash isn't to hard either. You will just have to find places to Trade. Spoiling is frown upon on the forums but you can always ask people ingame.

There are no restrictions to battleships. You can buy as much of them as you like and they arn't limited to your roleplay.

But also a warning. People here RP abit here and there but there are also people around that can't be bothered.

But don't worry. Those people are a minority

Guess I'll have to do a bit of exploring with my friend to see what cap ships are out there.  Maybe I'll even come up with my own little wiki for our faction use.  :)

Well I'm not sure what to make of this, but I mysteriously got 4 million credits from a (-CELTS-) Pendragon within the first 30 minutes of me playing on the server.  Is this normal?

Not really...I guess you're just lucky.

Nice name for a faction(we usually call factions as clans here in Void  :P )- Grayson Corporate Security.I suspect it is a mercenary-cum-trading clan/faction.
You would have got your answers from most of the guys above.

As far as mining is concerned, i am afraid mining is underdeveloped in Void, nothing here with which you can really make a living.
Trading is as has been mentioned is very good( at least in terms of profits though how 'fun' it can be is another matter).
I hope you guys do well and you can read the rules for how to make your clan/faction official in Void.Not too many requirements as in Disco.
