We have returned. Or, some of us at least. After much consideration, we (by we I mean me and my son, the only members at present) have decided not to come back as Pirates. No offense to our old Pirate allies, but it seems to us that there are enough Pirates on the server as it is. With the demise of the Rogue RP class, we see an opportunity to make a new RP not done here before, AFAIK.

Rebel. Or to some...Terrorist. Or, from another perspective, Freedom-Fighter. You decide.

Back-story still in the works, but I think it's high time to make a relations post, to let others know where we stand. Please have patience as we work out the bugs.

To finance our struggle with the forces of Synth Foods, we hire ourselves out as Mercenaries. Only conditions are that our employer must not be better than Neutral with Synth Foods (preferably Hostile), and that we will not fire on Europa Civilians.

When I first saw the thread's name, I was like "Another "resurrection"? Feh, when are we going to see an original new clan..." - but after I read your post, I realised that I got my wish, since it is pretty much a new clan :P I like the backstory so far. I do have a question, though: you listed "Europa civilians" as allies, does this mean that you'd be law-abiding in Europa, while you'd be criminals in Kusari and Rheinland?

Thank you all for the welcome. We hope we can bring some diversity to the RP of the server. We know this particular RP very well indeed, having pursued it on countless servers since 2003. Leading a clan... well... this is new for me.

Excellent question. I should have clarified this, thank you!

The only place we are criminals at present is in Liberty. There we can only find safe harbor at Rogue, Zoner, and Lane Hacker bases. Inside Europa we will remain... discrete. In Europa we desire to keep the good will of the common man, and since it's always wise not to foul one's own nest by making a battleground of your own backyard, we will take the war to the enemy. We will often join our brothers-in-arms in Kusari and Rhineland in their struggles knowing their fate is ours as well. We do not foresee this making us criminals in these two Houses, however. For example, daily you can observe our allies the Framers Alliance decimate convoys of Synth Poison... and the Kusari authorities turn a blind eye and go about their patrol as if nothing happened. It's the nature of our struggle, the populace secretly applaud our vengeance all while going 'tsk-tsk'.

This is why while we openly advertise our availability for Mercenary jobs... we must insist on the condition that our favorable image by our people not be tarnished.

Just a reminder of the current political situation in Europa:

Europa with the help of Bretonia and Liberty strive to build the commerce and trade within the Europa systems. Although there have been outbreaks of minor battles between these three powers, the Alliance holds...in most areas! Europa clearly now wants to break away from the Alliance and forge its own future, without the shackles of Bretonia and Liberty. This inevitably causes friction as Bretonia and Liberty do not want to give up the lucrative trade and commerce income they currently receive.

Seems pretty clear-cut to me. This would make you unlawful in Rheinland, Liberty and Bretonia (since Bretonia is allied with Liberty), and neutral in Europa and Kusari. Sounds fun, if you ask me :P

We hope you will reconsider if you ever require the services of mercs, as of course it's less profitable for mercs to limit potential customers. Especially when your customers will be most likely be from Unlawful factions, as we are.

Another clarification on our reps, hopefully the last:

When we allied with our fellow Farmers, we did not necessarily subscribe to all their local politics or feuds. It's all about Synth Foods, other axes they have to grind is their own business.

We are Europa citizens it is true, but we are not necessarily on the side of all Europa organizations/corporations. Some of them are obviously in cahoots with Synth Foods, and we consider them traitors to the Europa People. We have no proofs at present, but we will gather the necessary evidence in time.

We are established enough to accept new members. We do not believe in pestering brand-new players with recruitment drives, as we personally despise such unwanted pressure (we've even been threatened on some servers to join-or-die LOL!) so we will not do this. We also do not believe in the 'bribe' recruitment method of handing out huge wads of credits. New members get the help to start up, but they are expected to pull their own. What you will get with us is knowledge (we're not really 'new' we know Void very well) and a mission, not aimless PvP and generic "RP". Clan-hoppers need not apply, we measure clan loyalty in years, not weeks. Sound like something you want? then welcome.
