I read a post earlier where one guy said that he didnt realise anybody else played consoles. So i'm gona see how many people really do play consoles and which one is there favourite.

Xbox 1 for now, but when i get my Xbox 360 im sure it will be that

I love the Ps2 mainly because of the vast number of MATURE games. It may not have as good graphics as the Xbox ,but the games i think are alot better. A good game isnt all about the graphics!

Well, I have a large collection of games for my Playstation 2, but my xBox 360 is excellent! The online play is great with the xBox 360, and offers a wide range of games and challenges, both online and offline!

Remember people, you cannot compare the PS2 to the xBox 360, as the xBox 360 will be rivalled by the PS3, the PS2 should actually be compared to the Xbox!

I have a playstation 1 and 2 a gamecube and an Xbox but i prefer the Xbox becuse the graphics are better than the others.

I voted for the PS2. I think the Xbox rocks and all, but most of the games on it come out on playstation 2 anyway (except for halo. But who would buy it just for halo?) Plus I aint got an xbox anyway
Gamecube is good and all, but not many new games have been brought out and if they have, then they tend to be targeted at younger audiences, but I am keeping it for the new zelda game that will be released soon

I own...a Dreamcast, an N64, a PS2, a Gamecube and an X-box

I have owned in the past (sold lost or broken)..an NES, a SNES, a Megadrive, a Playstation and an Atari 2600

And what have I learned from all this?

People are suckers and will invariably buy the console that has the most games...ie Playstation 1, PS2, Megadrive...even though the ones with the best games are almost always the least popular ie Dreamcast, N64, SNES, Gamecube

However my favourite console of the lot as in the one I play on most often is the X-box which to my mind has only one flaw...

The games that are released accross multiple formats LOOK like they belong on the weakest of the current generation (PS2) rather than a real effort to impress that the X-box is still very capable of doing even though it's big brother is out now.

And since there are multiple formats out there NO-ONE really gets treated to the games they SHOULD be getting because all the different companies out there are just trying to outdo each other with no substance show off titles with the rare gaming gold emerging maybe once a year with no fanfare whatsoever and usually on a console few people have.

To be honest I've just about given up on console gaming in the same way I have given up on pc gaming...both have ceased to be about bringing the best games to the gamer and have instead become a case of who can deliver the most pixel shaders and which software company has a contract with which hardware company...

You can expect the lifespan of the PS3 and X-box360 to be a fraction of the lifespan of their predecessors much like a top of the range graphics card for your pc will only last you 6 months tops before needing to be upgraded to keep up when before they lasted much longer.

I for one am anti-X-Box because of one main reason......... I give bill gates enough damn money! He don't need anymore.....

Oh and furthermore, for it's time the SNES was the sh*t. I can't count how many arguements I've gotten into with GENESIS die hards swearing superiority. All the GENESIS had on the SNES was that they didn't have the violence in games stigma. As we can all see Nintendo has let up on that quite a bit but you have to admit the first time you stuck Johny Cage's foot in someones chest for a fatality, you were all dying with laughter....

I love the Ps2 but I also play the X-box but only because of Halo. I got the Ps2 because Megaman X yay and some other games, I want a 360 but Killzone 2 will not be on it and the price of the Ps3 is go to be high I herd is Japan it is $900.

Lets see, I currently have a X-Box, which I got for doing Halo LAN parties, a broken PS2, which did not survive a car wreck. I have also owned a NES and most forms of the Gameboy at one point or another, except the DS that is. To poor to buy the X-Box 360 and the up comeing PS3 so no idea if I like them or not.
I like the X-Box for the multiplayer games, and the PS2 for its RPG and other single player games. Neither one can really compete with the other in those respects, at least in my eyes.

I have all them systems above, but the Mega Drive... What the heck is that! lol

lol nvm that question. Just look up on google, its just a hyped up Sega, I have a "mega drive" too
