Freelancer - The Void

If there a Freelancer 2 what would you like to see in it?
And what would you game system would you like to see it on?

No offence intended but this has been a topic of discussion for the full time I've been here that I recall and I think I've been here about 1.5/2 years now if not longer, kind of lose track of time

If you run a search of the forums you'll probably still find some of the more recent threads about this

IMO Freelancer wouldnt work right on any other system than PC. But, thats just me.

Whell Bill Gates is EXTREMELEY greedy maybe if there could be a internet poll or a pettition that we can get to Microsoft to tell the that it will make them loads of money.

I dont think they would bring anothewr FL out now. This type of game isnt as popular as it was before. The market demand isnt good at all.

There was a freelancer 2 it was named the "X threat"!!!!

Whell who knows Mircrosoft is bring back alot of old games in sequiels.

Hunter, If there was to be a sequel for Freelancer it would've happened. As it is Freelancer is the sequel to Starlancer and I guess they wanted it to stop from there. I personally feel that making another at this time would be a wise decision because space games of this calibre are few and far between. X2, X3 and Darkstar one may be of the same style of game but they miss some things that FL have, Multiplayer for one. As to what it should come out on, no question about it only the PC unless you like to buy into that commercialized world of console gaming.
Now I"m a big gamer and I love my racing games as much as I do this and when Midnight Club 2 came out I loved the idea of being able to either race and continue the story or just go drive off and do my own thing whenever I wanted to. Not being stuck in a preset track was very nice. I could make up my own short-cuts where I pleased so long as I hit those checkpoints. Need for Speed Underground came out expecting to topple this and failed. Need for Speed Undergrount 2 comes out and still while it had adopted some of the free feeling that MC 2 had it still had your races bottled in a preset track. MC 2 remained my fav for a long time which is why I want the release of MC 3 Dub edition to come out on PC like MC 2 did but I haven't seen any clue of that.
Anyway it's a nice concept but sadly this has been in talks for a long time and the petitions for releasing the code and all that have been tried. Microsoft just isn't going to do it or allow anybody else to do it. Plain and simple.......

There will never be another freelancer .....or for that matter another Anvil game as Anvil was shut down and disbaned to other jobs thus there won't be another freelancer...... maybe a game like it but not another freelancer.
