UCOV discussion and New Charter
I am moving this topic to here since it is not, nor has it ever been, strictly a DW idea. Several clans bought into the idea. As such, it should be posted here. I am posting the latest revision to the proposed charter. I welcome any constructive discussion on it, however please refrain from childish posts as it is just more a persona has to wade through to get to the meat of the discussion.
Before the new charter section, I would also like to address the comments made by Constatine. Yes, he made the comments and he also apologized for said comments and stated he went overboard with them. They are in the past and resolved, please leave them there. Also, please no flames against any one clan, as several are involved in this idea now.
Ok, here is the new revision of the proposed charter.
The Mission of the United Clans of Void is to formalize a group effort aimed at protecting players from undue harassment and to act as an auxiliary server police. In this manner, Void players will keep each other in line. By undue harassment, we are referring to harassment that is above and beyond normal role-play. The activities of pirates and evil character play DO NOT qualify as harassment as long as the activities are not in violation of server rules. Harassment is activity that clearly violates server rules.
United Clans of Void Charter
1. The U.C.O.V. is an alliance of several clans with the purpose and intent of aiding and assisting the tracking down and eradication of modders, cheaters, and people who come just to cause trouble above and beyond the routine actions of pirates and evil aligned clans, from the Void server. We also exist to assist new clans and new players to the best of our combined ability. This alliance in no way supercedes server rules, rather it helps enforce those rules through peer pressure and clan leadership keeping it’s members in line.
2. The alliance will be governed by a council comprised of one clan leader or representative from each clan within the alliance. Any major actions taken, i.e. KOS declarations will be decided by a public vote with a clear 3/4ths majority needed to carry it to action.
3. The alliance will not even consider action nor put it to a vote unless clear and concise proof is provided that such action and or intervention is required or warranted.
4. The alliance will not engage in clan politics. If a clan declares war with another clan, whether they are in the alliance or not, the alliance will not choose sides. That is what individual clan alliances are for. For example, Clan A declares war of Clan B, Clan C and Clan D are not compelled to aid either clan, they will aid and assist based on their own clan's decision.
5. Any clan may apply to join the alliance, whether Navy or Pirate based. Any new memberships after the initial founding of this alliance will require the same 3/4ths majority vote to be added. Navy clans in the alliance will adhere to server rules when dealing with pirates and pirates will adhere to server rules when dealing with navy clans.
6. Expulsion of a clan from the alliance will be based on a 3/4ths majority vote by the members of the alliance. A clan will only be considered for expulsion if it or one of its members repeatedly violates the terms of this charter.
7. If other clans or people dispute the actions of the alliance, arbitration will be used to decide. A third party who both volunteers to perform this task, and is agreed upon by both parties involved will conduct the arbitration. The arbiter would preferably be a Void Admin

Ok, someone voted no to the charter, but did not post a reason why. I would like any vote to be accompanied by a post why you are either for or against the idea. That way we can see what flaws there may be with the charter as written.

Ok i agree with the carter myself
Not saying that it is formed to get rid of priates and i know myself it's not but if it was to trun to that this was just formed to get rid of priates i would think different, as priates put the interest to the game, some one to hunt down and kill when bored, but i wouldn't like to see them gone altoghter.
That is my thought.

I like the ideas put forth, it is especially helpful to the smaller or weaker squads to have this setup, therefore Karma Assassins would like to be a part of it and agree to the terms of the charter requesting that a provision be put in that if the Alliance were to get too dictatorial or without democratic procedure we would request the assistance of Void Admin in getting rid of the Alliance.

Well there is another clan for the UCOV. I don't think we need a provision for disolving the UCOV as the admins can easily disolve it if it gets out of hand. Any one else have any thoughts on that?
