Time to change the tax rule?

I have been thinking about all the pirate clans on the void. And i just had to wonder... Where have they all gone?

There used to be alot of pirate actvity when i first cam to the server. In froms of Netsphere, Vagu. And other pirate clans. When i thought about it i tried to find a reason they would all have lost interest in the Pirate RP and disbanded all there groups. Also a lack of people are making pirates and flying them now.

So the reason i came up with must be the new tax rule. When the pirates could tax money of people there were alot of pirates flying around terroising the traders for money. They would tax them once  and get on with the game. ( Or blown up if they didnt pay ) So this gave the Navy clans on the void something to do and go help the traders and free lancers alike.

Then the new rule comes out and i feel the and the decline of pirates starts to happen. Everyone starts to lose interest as they dont bother asking for cargo because of having to go sell it etc. So when the new rule comes out it makes the pirates decline and the pirate RP is then declined into almost nothing-ness.

So in light of the recent making of the BRO pirate group i put the idea forward that maybe we should go back to the old ways and have the money taxing back. I think this will bring the pirates and the balance will be restored making RP better instead of having nothing to do.

Thats my idea any-way. Some people may not agree but please post your opinions here.

I totally agree that the pirates should ask for credit tax. I was blown up 5 times by a pirate (he knows who he is) and he acted like a rogue. Only told me to "Halt" after the 4th try. I was carrying no cargo.

Yes the piracy has been lower since the new "tax rule" testing period was introduced.

Totally agree with the old tax rules. Being a BBB, I was asked 4 times for cargo and stated I dont carry any, not even nanobots. So I got blown up.

I wud like to see the old tax rule back as in my opinion it wud bring back the pirates and bring back the gf's between navy and pirates and the rp wud be so much better then navy and pirates sitting around askin 4 pvp's (no disrespect to anyone) well nothing else to say really lol.

I have made a post about this to Admin section. I am sure that the higher authorities post a reply to this post, or atleast to the General knowledge, once we have talked about it. where i stand, i actually think that Greaver is right. We need to get the Money taxation back to this server, as now i see,  the Pirate clans and individual pirates have lost their interest to RP.

Yep, I think Greaver's analysis is sound. To resurrect pirate-rp we need the monetary tax back. At least they won't have an excuse to act like rogues and blast everyone out of frustration.

I'd like to see tax back, to generally move things forward this is needed.  Plus with BRO just starting many may join that clan so they can become a force to be reckoned with!

All you know that taxing is connect with moaning and soft targets can't pay never.
It does not matter what is taxing range.
But yes, I think it was better.

Well you know how I feel about it. I agree completely. But in the meantime, or as an alternative, pirates don't have to ask for just cargo and if you don't have any blow you away. I was recently confronted by a pirate while in a different char who, while posted outside a planet demanded ordinance. He wanted 20 torps. Since my char didn't use them, I landed and bought them. You can easily transfer ordinance, or buy it, or guns etc. It's something pirates can easily expect to get and use without having to sell it off.

Clever guys, those RPG. Gllad to have them as allies.

i think is a great idea if the pirats can to tax the other players with money or cargo, but i think this need of little rules.
My idea on it is this:
all pirats [X] can to tax with money or cargo!
If an pirat [X] ask money he have to look the rank :

1°) Down the 30 rank no tax ! NO MONEY NO CARGO!
2°) from 30 to 40 rank = 100.000 credits or cargo
3°) from 40 to 50 rank = 250.000 credits or cargo
4°) from 50 to 60 rank = 500.000 credits or cargo
5°) from 60 in up rank = 1.000.000 credits and cargo

NEVER TO TAX AN PLAYER DOWN THE 30 RANK !

Yes, 100% true Greaver. Pirates dont have big reasons to taxing now. Long time I haven't seen simple sentence "pay tax etc.."
I'm absolutely for old taxing.

The level of pirates has gone down alot. I think credit tax should be brought back.
