BTW and as part of my point, I keep my clan tag to myself when I chose to, because I speak for myself, and because this is nor an RP post.
I feel my [Outcasts] clanmates, if they want to become involved in this discussion, should chime in on their own, or ask me to include them. My Clan is right there in my signature, it's not a secret. We as a clan are not involved in this discussion, I, as a preson called Farad'n am.(Yes this is just a handy label, something you can call me other than "Hey You")
@ Zyos:
I think you just said it all man.
To all:
I thought the point of this was fun, you come, you meet your freinds, and chat if you want, untill somebody says "Lets play." (That's how it's works as I was taught in kindergarden folks) Then you assume your roles, and fight each other.
It seems to me, that some people like Shonensan take this game too seriously:
"N*o you are a great clan and I agree with your idea of roleplay because I kill who is behind the character and i dont care with tag someone use...if they want to use different tags they have to keep secret their identity. "
That's the attitude that gets people stabbed over a game of Dungeons & Dragons.
( It's happened here in the USA., and in Korea (I think) over Everquest.(And that's just the ones I know about.))
That is the problem I have with this "Role play," no seperation between characters, and players.
(Now I just have to watch out for this guy, when I'm using my trading character, it's got the same name, so my freinds (and clan mates) can find me, if they chose to.)

"Seriously guys. If n*o's clan rules forbbid multi characters for their own members then so be it. But to start taking out "friendlies" because they have another character that's a pirate, is a very quick way to become alienated. I have had good experience of n*o and they have been very helpful to my trader characters and have always responded positively when asked for assistance or information. "

I'm going to make this my final "blab" on this subject, taking into account what Kahless said.
Each to their own. I disagree with Shonensan, maybe except for the secrecy bit . You should be able to play different characters in RP and have the honesty and integrity to keep them separate. If you are part of a clan that says that this is not allowed - abide by that rule -or leave the clan. DAWY is correct - they have been strictly Navy throughout and will not allow members to have pirate/rogue characters.
However, to attack a member of a Navy Clan whilst he is in his Navy Clan colours seems to me to be counter productive. If they are not expecting you to attack because of their Navy tags then you have them at an immediate disadvantage. If you see them in their Pirate role, go for it and show no mercy. Place the Pirate character on your KOS list. If you are active enough to hammer them every time the Pirates stick their heads over the wall, then they may get fed up and go back to their main character for a better deal.
Given that Pirate RP is the only "enforceable" RP right now, it all seems a bit pointless getting bent out of shape about this. I will defend my right to have multiple characters for as long as it remains unaffected by the rules. Thats me. All done. 'Nuff said.....Chill out, have fun and watch your blood pressure
Regards to you all - Zeb
Cheers to you Zeb
I am not leveling accusations at annyone, but as a general note on "fair role play" in general, it is the responsability of the individual player to, by his honesty, and integrity play their role in full (F1 annybody?). It Is also by our Integrity that we recognise those who chose to play as diferent characters, and those who do not.
It's our responsibility to "draw the line" between a person, their characters, and their other characters. If someone choses to have that line be non-existant, they should make it apparent as a courtesy to others(Tags should be enough.) We should also respect that seperation line when others draw it for us. (A navy character, and a pirate character perhaps?)
On that note, maybe I should change my trader's name after all, as it breaks the line between "trader me", and the "pirate me." But then, how will my newer clan mates find me, if they need me? Our clan Foruns are public, so if I post all my characters, how do I keep N*O from finding out who I am and shooting me as a pirate, even though I'm playing a freelancer role (No tax, No attack, No fighting Navys)?
If somebody switches characters, it is ultimately on them, they do have the right, but it's also up to them to not abuse that right.
Finally.....
@ Richi, you said:
"Swiching char is cowardly.
We want bullied folks to play their RP - all the RP, not only the first sweeter half.
Yes, many of you are playing all the RP. Very good and hard, all-inclusive. Hats off folks, hats off.
But many of you not. We don't want be killed without facilities for a revenge.
Be single target for your five enemy, but without possibility to find them when your clan members or ally arrived.
Now, in what I'm not correct? Is it fair for us? Don't we have got privilege to be frustrated too? As well as you?"
Cheers to you as well, I feel your pain. But you gotta swallow it mate, or we all loose the right to switch at all.
Personally if I ever see you Richi, without your [N*O] tags I will extend you every courtesy(even the pirate "courtesy" of letting you slip by "un-noticed"), as I would to anny other voidian, even though I've been shot down by N*O as many times as by annyone, and probably by you a few times too. (I know I'm probably on more frag lists than any NPC.) But itf i see you in N*O tags, I'll know the fight is on. (And I'll probably end up another statisitic again.
PS To All:
Thank you all for the lesson. I learned a bit in from all of this.
