little test some might like

Nice thing about this test is it will build a log, which can be really interesting (anorak) if you annalyie it. if you use it regularly to different servers in the world, you get to see how distance and time of day can really affect your bb speed.

Provides good ammunition if you need to prove to your ISP that you are not getting the real time bandwidth that you are supposed to be.

Strange considering that a speedtest depends on every server from the modem to the machine the download it uses to test is hosted on needs to have good performance, even if your speed is capable of better. I've had download speeds on some servers of 1.2mb p/sec, but my upstream of roughly 45-50 kb/s is near enough correct

Here's another speed test from a different site:

Download Speed: 5623 kbps (702.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 369 kbps (46.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

PS: Our server is located in Frankfurt I believe

lol, that test was run with 3 pc's hooked to the net at the time - to include our TS server..

Time of day has much to do with the test results as well.

well my ISP connection speed seems to have improved, check the post above to see older scores...

they are on diff servers, but it never used to be like that on the london server
