Re: What's Happening in the World of Wolf...
Looks like I'll be a pain in the Void a while longer, I'm afraid. There's good news and bad news.
The good news is, my heart problems are due not to the results of bad habits etc, but to a congenital defect. I have an artery feeding the heart that is smaller than usual and tapers to even smaller. So it restricts cardio blood flow and creates the same symptoms as vascular disease such as would be caused by high cholesterol. Aren't I the lucky one. The bad news is there's nothing I or anyone can do about it..I'm going to have to learn some new ways of doing things. In other words I'm going to have to start acting my age. Dammit.
As for now I'm is some ... um... discomfort. My right leg is letting me know it's unhappy with me in no uncertain terms. And I need to be really careful about not bending it at the hip. That's where they intruded my space. Into the femeral artery at the groin. Ouch. After rooting around inside me to find what they found, they closed the hole in the artery with this nifty little alloy thing called a star close. It's crimped around the hole in the artery holding it together til it heals. Then it remains a part of me forever. It's about 5 mm across. So in order to be sure it's not torn until it heals I need to keep that leg fairly straight. And that mean no sitting up in a regular chair for some days. That means I can't use my PC. And that means not much in the way of freelancer. #-o I am using my laptop on the couch sort of 1/2 lying and there's no hope of any effective PvP. I might be able to do a few simple NPC missions but most likely will cruise about in the [V]WW ship. Well I've been thinking about trading in the Gladiator for something a little more sporty so maybe now's a good time.
Well that's what there is to tell. All that needs to be said at all in the topic I suppose. Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I'd say they had some good effect. Just look at the results. The way i see it, the biggest Clan in the Void is the {void} clan and everyone is a member. All the others are sub-clans, offshoots and splinter groups. Thanks, clanmates.

Howdy Pard, <):)
Glad to hear the good news, as for the bad news - you are still on my prayer list.
Hmmmmm, wanta PvP, I just might be able to whup you good now. Heehee.
I know what it is like Pard, to have to change life habits. When held hostage (guest) in the middle east I suffered a heart attack but refused to be taken to the hospital. After my release and a check by nuclear medicine, etc. the heart attack was confirmed and I had lost a portion of my heart (as in destroyed). Fortunately it was in the area where the pipes (or whatever is in that pump) are able to do a little bypassing themselves. That was in 1990 and the Lord continues to bless and watch over me and my Mrs.
Hmmmm, on second thought, forget the PvP - too much pressure to beat you. Heehee.
So take good care of yourself, and be of good cheer, Watchwolf is also being watched over.
My regards to the Mrs. and know our thoughts and prayers are with her too.
Your ole Pard and wingman,
Pit Viper <):)
