Ok - so every time someone comes up with a winning formulae for combat and chooses to share it with others - the minute it doesn't suit someone, we are supposed to remove the ability to do this?

Dyson, go play SPACE SIMS on the playstation if you cant contend with Boxing.  Or develop a strategy that will defeat them, as others have done.  Its not rocket science....(Ok maybe it IS rocket science!)  Some are better skilled than others.  Correct me if I am wrong, but are you not also the one that started the topic on "Missile Spammers"?  A pointless rant on folk with more than two projectile points....!

I think we can safely ignore this as I dont see VOID turning into DYSON SERVER anytime soon.....
Get out there and play.  Stop being a wet shirt and worrying about your precious frags.

Well i think its nice to have different fighting styles, it makes FL less broing. Fighting the same style over and over just is boring, but having a range of different styles is nice, it makes a change

Now heres my oppionion on the humble technique that is called boxing.

I came to this server a lonngggg time ago. No wi remember this server was all about jousting, Out manouvering the pilot. Taking pot shots at his side. Working ways around him and giving him a face full of fire. ALL of these things were done at the same time. These things would require alot of skill to do. Some of the greats like Becker etc would master all of these techniques and kill of his enemies nicely. This was the way of the void. And this is why i loved to play there. You need so much skill to play with the greats.

Now for boxing. Sitting still firing Vulcans or annies continuosly at a target doesnt do it for me. It combines one thing. A good aim. With no abillity to move. I cant see how throwing your point indicator off so the gun fire goes else where skill. More of a game bug. Maybe this is skill, Maybe i live in the past and should move on. But im pretty sure alot of people remember the great jousting fights.

Here in Void, we have a good variety of fighting tactics, different from eachother, some may be better than others, but it does not necessarily mean, that the "uber annoyance tactics", are always the wrong or "illegal" ones, in the eys of players, and thus to be removed.

Fighters on this server have the right of choosing a fighting style that suits their needs, whatever that may be

so now he uses drift vs me

I totally agree with you Greave..

I feel that I live in the past too, I still want to live in that old void, where it was different, but it seems we really should move on. New people, new acting of people, new styles..
Anyway I liked it before, it was really about your flying skill, working with thruster, working with mouse, flying around enemy, out turning him etc.. thats a real skill for me. Moving with ship during pvp.
If sitting at one place, using strafe keys and having good aim with which player will hit everything... or having on nearly half of slots rockets.. well it's his choise, his style.
But I am still asking my self where is the face to face fight, where are those true  and really skilled moves with ships like ziky, shonen, ent or becker used.. that was fights.. for me definitely.

Hmm new kinds of "skill" are coming or we are just old here lol.
But its the game, everyone has right to choise his style and his setup, we just should move on and play the game  :)

Box tactic can be annoying yes, but is another Brawler tactic.

There are snipers, missils spammers, brawlers, etc...

And is not a good tactic in battles 2vs2, you are all good fighters and you know why. So it is usefull in pvp, and as Amok said, it is practice question to find out how to beat it.

I amaze about complaining here about all these tactics. I have seen posts telling  that missils were unbalanced, but you dont see a lot of missils spammers.

I saw  posts moaning sniper too, or worst,  against  Nomad lasers. But in sparta and other places you see more good pilots using brawler than snipers.

If any of you saw unbalanced guns or ships in any server just once, you can see that VOID is pretty well balanced now.

The worst: you see ppl arguing because one is a spammer, another is a BOX tactic user, another is a sniper cruisher etc.....

Brawlers want sniper guns weaker, snipers want box tactic out , etc...... I think that to deal with this is the hardest thing for a mod maker, and second is to create new guns ships  etc.. without breaking the balance.

PD: Nomads Lasers are OK ( I heard that ADMIN want to modify them in next mod, BIG MISTAKE). If you unbalance sniper vs Brawlers we would see only Brawlers, and that would be bad for VOID

Hm Moaner, so speed of annis is 900m/s now, and speed of lasers is 1200m/s, kool everything is well balanced between the most famous brawler gun and the most famous sniper gun on Void.

They're just too fast, that's why u can see mounted laser on every kind of ship here. That's why lasers are more popular than true FL fast refire guns on the current void.
I hope they will do same process with lasers as they did with armageddons, then may be we'll see more good brawler fights again.

@Zeb sorry for being an a$$ but watch your mouth dude, really sorry mate but it was boxers who bring up the missles spamming and  missles unbalanced stuff up. Dyson plays only for pvp and has been one of the best pvpers (although slipping up a bit ) and has pointed out some bad stuff about the frag system, so dont call him a frag monger.
@Urami because you couldnt GHOST dyson dont get personal about it.
@Dyson i would keep things to yourself lol, post on strails frustration thing and choose words carefuly + dont smite me ingame :-SS

On topic i wont box, iv tried it but its not my idea of fun, if others find it fun then let em be. There are ways to beat them some challeging others easy like spamming firestalkers at them lol, i prefer the challenge but it means i gotta move like crazy. I dont mind it atm but i hope the whole server doesnt do it only because it will look silly if people pvp each other but sit in front of each other moving around in circles..........it would look wierd. Again sorry for going SCITZ on this post lol.
