You know I'm sick of players like you that think you have figured it all out, me being THE GHOST.  I haven't gotten personal with Dyson.  My post speaks full truth and it looks like many others agree with me.  Look at the last few post Dyson has created or replied to.  In ALL of them they are about disrespecting other players or complaining about how "THE MOD DOESN'T SUIT HIM"  shall I start posting examples??  I can.

Look back at how many post Dyson has EDITED after he wrote them.  Why did he EDIT them?  Because he realizes how stupid the post are after he gets everyone elses feedback.  He belittles other players and moans about how the mod runs.  Like Zeb said this is THE VOID, not DYSON'S SERVER.

I agree, Dyson everything can be taken down by somthing else if not everyone would use one tatic. Just practice and play around dude you'll find what works best vs box soon.

I think Dyson personally is pointing out something we have ALL complained about.

I know for one i think that style is stupid. Mainly because i prefer the classic style of fighting that requires skill. I personally think that dyson just pointed out what we didnt want to say. So i have to say to dys, Yes bring up the subject. But a general question of do you thinkl its the right kind of style to use here would have been better. Instead of asking things to be taken out of the mod, I personally think that the VOID should stay as a classic PvP style.

But hey. These are all my opinions.

@ Monkey:  My point to Dyson was this.....Dont whinge about Fighting Techinques.  Mate, my pvp is so bad that if I had raised the topic of "Things that Irritate me when Fighting" we'd all be throwing sponges at each other!

This is the VOID server - end of.  If it wasnt Dyson that raised the "Missile Spammer" issue then I apologise.  Sorry to paraphrase but "those that gain power are always afraid of loosing it" (the Sith) - ie You get good at something and then something changes - People in a position of excellence dont like it when their position is altered.

All I'm saying to the VOID in general is  - Its a Game - Play it - so if you and Dyson don't like it then go  play somewhere else.  Don't be telling me to watch my mouth, wind your neck in buster...!  ;)  I have NEVER said that Dyson was not a good player and sorry to worry you but there comes a point in EVERY players time when they do worry about how their FRAGS look.  This is not personal, but he did raise the subject.  Boxing irritates the living doodahs out of me - but its part of being here on the VOID and if I get lucky I might just figure out how to beat it, but Im not the one posting about it.

Being (as far as i know) the one that brought boxing to the server originally ill just say my bit.

Boxing is fairly easy, it doesnt screw up aim too badly while making yourself a biatch to target unless your know how. Now were i'm from boxing is just another tactic so we've all found our own counters to it. Dont bother with the red + its semi-worthless when targetting them, the two most effect methods are leading shots but aiming were the + is going to be instead of were it is and aiming for the model which is pretty much aiming for the area inside of the "box". Along with this, something older pilots are too stubborn to pick up on is the fact that up-down strafe adds a dimention to both lagwalking and sliding so seriously take advantage of it. When i fight Sythe or Red Dragon in a hammerhead or wa1 i'd lose every time without my 3D slide, the jokes on you if you only use two strafes against a boxer. Boxers are both weakest and strongest within 500m, if your a sniper this is the killzone *recall's greavers point blank killshots*. If any of these methods are too complicated then just box right back at them, boxing matches were always good fun & great training when you wanna learn to hit a boxer. The icing on the cake i suppose would be that when you box you sit still which makes you a mine/torp/missile whore.

Along with that, in my personal opinion, if it werent for reverse camping i'd fine light fighters totally rigged to win because the best slider in an anubis will lose every time to a decent slider in a crow. So if anyone has an ioda of a thought anything like "Remove up-down strafe" then take out the LF's or Sniper weapons.

The reason ya'll complain about a style such as the box is because you were never exposed to it, its perfectly fair though if you fly in straght lines (as many of the 'expert' pvp'ers do in their slides) then you will probably get totally raped. I'd understand if this were vanilla freelancer but its not, combat speeds are high and turn speeds are higher.
