now i almost dont get disconnect

but sometimes my ping is 63 and more when normally it was 49 to 56 so i vote

If your Ping goes up and down there are two possible reason:

1- Your ISP is not giving you a steady bandwidth.... in other words, it's not always the same speed. I know that for most DSL connections, your speed depends on how far downstream you are from the providers access point and how many people are on-line between you and that point. The more sharing that bandwidth the less each of you will get. If you're not using a DSL-type connection, get with your ISP and see if there's some reason your connection is unstable.

or 2- You get bogged down when someone with a dog slow machine comes on the scene when you're on. His poor connection will effect you and anyone else in the vicinity.

In defense of those repliers who gave negative opinions of the new server, they did give their opinion which is something that was requested with the start of this post.  Given the option to have 2 negative votes in this post would suggest that all opinions are welcomed, but these guys got slammed for posting issues about lag............why?

I didn't complain but I think everyone's opinion should be valued, even if it is irrelevant or holds no substance.  Some of these guys are too young and don't understand all the properties that go into a uber connection.

I didn't complain though and I made a donation.........I'm content  :D

on old server i have ping of 60-100,sometimes even 1000 or 2000!!!,but now  i have ping of 8-40.new server rulez.
WW say bug vs BMW,than mu PC is skate  :P ,633mhz,768Mb of ram,64Mb graphic on 128mb connection speed.
and for some1 they do not  believe






i only have problems in mass fight,when 2-3 ppl lagg,+my graphic lagg,than i usually quit or pause for 1 cigar,that is only solution.

Laki that isn't your true ping.  You had just signed into the game.  I've had 0 ping after signing in and checking ping within a few seconds of being in game.

To get a true ping and loss you need to wait a few minutes and then check.

O.o   Slammed? Reading back I don't see it. Maybe I am missing something, m8. What started out as "what do you think of the new server?" has turned into "I have a lot of lag could it be the new server?" I see people offering possible cures for lagging. Speaking for myself, since lagging can't be caused by the server and people are getting some lag, I'm hoping to help them out. I put the choices up there to see what people thought. Still do.

@ Laki, The Bug vs BMW is talking about comparing the old server to the new one, not anyone's PC.

Like I said, I didn't mean to open a can of worms with this, so I figure it was a mistake posting it.

NO NO NO , i dont think it was a mistake posting a question like this..

i wish more people would post there thoughts....really , 100+ players and less than 1/4 have replied !

Now , all the links you posted above Watchwolf will be looked at and I will see what i can do do get a better ping , and to make the game run smoother like it did in the past..like it was for me before , something is different now though...

I dont know all the networking/pc stuff like you say you do , BUT i do know alot about my pc and how to tweak it ---- so ANY and ALL info you can give to me will be tried and put to the test , i promise.....Im not scared to crash my pc or even reinstall it all from scratch , so Ill take any usefull info and try it !

I still enjoy playing here and i will say that seeing the HIGHER number of players nowadays obviously speaks for the NEW box and what it can handle  =D> ...its just with the pvp's now i can really see a BIG difference , ONCE AGAIN --- ON MY SIDE , IT IS WORSE than before ! --  why i voted the way i did !

and I probably will PM you Watchwolf to pick your brain about ping,latency,loss,pc specs., fixes, tweaks ect ect ect.....if you dont mind that is !?!?

In my opinion the new server is better than the old one, and most of veteran players should see it.

Do you remember massive fights in sparta or (worst) other systems? The server lagged like hell. Now most of the times the battles are possible.

There were some days that I had to disconnect because I could not pvp, or do missions. Now, in last month I didnt disconnect any day.

I think that we have to measure the improvements looking at the global work of the server, stressed and daily work, and in my opinion it is better.

And for those that love ping, my ping is exactly the same, so I can compare both servers very good

the new server- its better for me.
the rest is my connection and computer which is slooooooooooowwwww somtimes depending on time of day and if norton a v decideds to update while im playing lol

my ping is always 150+ when it never used to be, it used to be from 30-70

well tbh, i have noticed a great difference. On teh old server ping is the same as it is on this server, BUT i do experience less jumps. On the old server people used to jump, even when they were only small jumps they made a difference.

Now on the new server, things are much more stable for me... the ping is no different (around 86ms) but people have stopped jumping like they used to. You still get the odd lag spike, but most of the time its down to my connection.

Overall, a definate improvement for me!
