Re: funny bush talk about global warming
Yeah that one is funny.
This is the original video from Will Farrel
http://clips.abusora.com/Clip.php?item_id=40847
But i like the kid betther.
But global warming is made up.
The Earth has survide milions of species and we are not strong inough to destroy it.
The Earth is getting warmer because it is closer to the sun :-w
Its the circle of life. In about 150 year ( and this has been proven by real scientist ) the earth will be cooled down in a fast rate. Like the ice age only less cold, but it will get very cold.
Or that stuff about the ozon layer.
A forrest fire creates more pollution than all the cars do in 200 years. And i'm talking about a small fire, not the one in Greece. That fire creats over 500 years of car pollution.
Sure forrest fires can be controlled, but what about a vulcanos? Those provide even more pollution .
And wy is the ozon layer smaller in the north poll than it is in Europe or America?
Because cars are good for the ozon.
I'll tell you something that the coverment is hiding about cars. I have studied motor vehicles for over 5 years and the biggest pollution a cars produce is CO2 and Atomaire oxygen. CO2 is primairely water so it isnt as dangerous as they say.
Atomaire oxygen, there is another word for it and that is Ozon.
So dont believe all that. The world is not in danger and never will be.
Mother nature keeps itself in balance.
If we get to big than it will come up with a plague or a huricane.
Conspiracy everyone should learn more about it.
Sorry to be this off topic, but every time i hear about global warming or something like it i have to say the truth.
O yeah funny video.
Scream on

LOL! That was awsome.
@Inf
You just said cras are good for the ozone... wowzers. The balance nature had was perfect, the levels of greenhouse gases in the atomopshere are exponentially higher now then have been in the past half a million years. So while it does have a good chunk to do with the earths orbit to say that greenhouse emmisions arent a problem is stupid. Aloso, your refering to greenhouse gases, not ozone depletion. Chlorofluorocarbons found in many household products does deplete the ozone and saying otherwise is sillysauce. With a depleted ozone none of the potentially damaging ultraviolet light will be reflected. Skin cancer ftw!

Re: funny bush talk about global warming
In the year 1500 ( thats where we first started to calculate heat and other nature fenomenal ) it was double hot as its was now. It was subtropic back then. We are heading for the same thing again. And then it gets colder and then hot again.
And that circle will go on and on.
I already told you that the ozon in the northe pole is thinner than it is anywhere els. it's because there is little life there. No factory's no cars no forrest fire no vulcano's and no Atomaire oxygen or ozon.
You whant another thing wy you should never listen to the gouvernant.
"Global warming" will melt the polar ice right? And THEY say it will flodd most of the coast.
We the densety of ice is way more bigger than water, so if they do melt than we shoult get more land instead of a flodd.
Srry to burst the bubble, but all you hear about the nature is pure crap. It's all for the ellection and getting easy money.
An acample: Greenpeace was against our cutting trees so what they did was getting infrond of the building of ministers and make alot of smoke. They put some sort of gas in the water and light it up.
It was the most pollution you can make in one single our and they let it burn for almost 6 ours.
You all remember Armegeddon right? There was a scene where Greenpeace was there. They had something about oil and Bruce Willes said that there ship pollutted more oil then they could make in a year. Was very funny, but true.
They are a good accemple of getting money using "Nature issues"
Yes the Earth is getting warmer, but it is also getting colder in 150 years.
*EDIT* How hot whas it when dinosaurs ruled the earth?

Well I guess to answer your own question with your own answer, it'd be impossible to know how hot it was when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Since 'we' only started calculating heat and other nature stuff in the year 1500.... lol
Anyway I'm helping save the world by sitting my @$$ behind a computer all day and playing Freelancer, right? :D :D The only pollution I produce is an occassional mexican dinner fart. :D :D

Re: funny bush talk about global warming
@Inf -i completely disagree with u.
As Electra said Global Warming is REAL.
I don't know what you can possibly gain by denying Global Warming.
I agree that the Earth goes through periodic phases and ages of weather extremes but what u see and feel now is real and is completely man-made.
The density of ice is less than water but how will u get more land when it melts. An increase in sea-level would mean disaster for everybody.
Now this "everybody" mainly refers to those leaving in low-lying areas in the equator region.
Those countries are extremely poor, countries like Bangladesh and Maldives.
The eastern coast of China around Shanghai too could face danger.
And then talk of developed countries from USA to Netherlands.
Inf u said-
"CO2 is primarily water and is not harmful"
I have never heard such rubbish in my life.LOL
Water is H20 and CO2 has carbon in it and along with gases like methane CO2 is a greenhouse gas.
CO2 and methane are responsible for the Greenhouse Effect. And when they are in "excess" they cause global warming.
Ozone hole is near the South Pole over Antarctica and right now the Australians and the countries near it are feeling the pinch because of increased cases of skin cancer.
Forest Fires-Of course forest fires happen but have u thought why they happen? They happen because of drought like conditions because of maybe an extended summer because of which organic matter in forest get dried and are devoid of moisture. This dried matter easily catches fire.
But have u thought why there is drought -like conditions or a long summer? It is because of climatic patterns being disrupted by global warming.
Not only would world temperature rise but climatic patterns would change.
Spare some though for this.
The United Nations and its select panel of scientists have confirmed that there is 90% chance that all of this due to man.Its almost confirmed that humans are behind Global Warming.
Human activities include industries, emission from automobiles etc.
Kyoto Protocol=And now another study comes out and says that if the world, entire world were to follow American standards of consumption then we would require 5.3 Earths to sustain it.
I am not saying anything against the Americans.
The entire world especially those in poor countries want to emulate the American Way of Life. Now when this causes massive pollution and nobody comes forward to admit and rectify this mistake then its a shame really.
With USA and Australia refusing to sign Kyoto Protocol and trying to drag developing countries into signing a new treaty that will cut their emissions but would restrict their economic growth, they have dropped to a new low of hypocrisy.
Though China has overtaken the US in being the largest emitter of carbon its per capita emission is very less when compared to US and this is because there are 1.4 billion people in China compared to 300 million in US.Its unfair that developing countries are being held responsible and are being asked to cope with this when most of the problem-creators are the ones who should do something about it.Developing countries have economies that are young and not developed and wont be able to bear changes in emissions relating human activities.
Unless the West comes forward and engages in concrete actions and help the developing countries to attain growth without harming the economic growth ten nothing can be achieved.
Don't take offense but i speak from the view point of developing nations and i have strong views on this.

Re: funny bush talk about global warming
Oh please.
"Global warming" is non scientific scaremongering gibberish and it's why they now use the term "climate change" instead.
Allow me to point something out to you all.
As of this very second you me and everyone else is living in an ice age. That's right it is an ice age right now, the very same ice age we were in 10,000 years ago. At this moment we are experiencing the minimum glacial activity period during which time the polar icecaps are reduced in size and the movement of glaciers is reduced to a few millimetres a year.
This has NOTHING to do with carbon dioxide, man produced or otherwise. This is why the term "global warming" has been carefully replaced with "climate change".
Some carbon dioxide facts:
Carbon dioxide is a so called "greenhouse gas" however simple water vapour is almost twice as effective as a greenhouse effect catalyst as CO2
An adult tree produces and emits more CO2 than it converts into Oxygen
The pacific ocean emits more CO2 in a month than human beings do in a year
During the Roman occupation of Britian when humans were barely producing any CO2, Britain had a "mediterranian" climate sufficient for grapevines to be cultivated successfully in the north of England (something virtually impossible now)
If every single human being in the world stopped driving cars, stopped using fossil fuel generated electricity and stopped using manufacturing processes that produce CO2 the planet would still get warmer anyway.
During the industrial revolution of the 1800s when CO2 emitions were unregulated and MASSIVE the global temperature actually dropped causing one of the worst winters in British records known as "the big freeze".
CO2 actually reflects more solar radiation AWAY from the earth than it traps.
These are all known FACTS which are ALL ignored by the "global warming" theorists, these facts have lead the governments of the European Union and United States to adopt the term "climate change" instead of "global warming" because they KNOW there is no genuine scientific basis for blaming CO2 emitions for the problems but they are still bound by popular, misguided public opinion and thus continue to press the issue to gain public support.
However, the result of all this rubbish is a movement away from the use of fossil fuels. This is a good thing, not because of CO2 but because fossil fuels are a finite rescource which is in decline, as such we need to find new ways to generate energy. The only problem with this is the leaning towards nuclear power. if you think coal burning power stations damage the environment then you haven't seen what 100s of tonnes of nuclear waste can do.
Also re the point about flooding..the icecaps melting has never caused mass flooding before. Infact the last time there was a significant rise in global temperature and a significant reduction in ice cap coverage sea levels dropped. This happens BECAUSE ice is more dense than water. The mass of the icecaps presses down on the continental plates and when that pressure is relieved as the ice melts the continental plates rise reducing sea level. The now non existent land bridge between Britain and Europe is prima facia evidence of this. As temperatures settle down again and the icecaps reform sea levels rise again. This has happened dozens of times in the Earth's history and will happen again, and again, and again whether humans are around or not.

Re: funny bush talk about global warming
@Kahless-
Sorry for the tone of my earlier reply it seemed a bit haughty and evoked such a response from u.
Density of Ice-
Ice has a density of 0.9167 g/cm³ at 0 °C, whereas water has a density of 0.9998 g/cm³ at the same temperature. Liquid water is most dense, essentially 1.00 g/cm³, at 4 °C.
U can clearly see that ice has less density than water.
Consequently-This is why ice floats on water.
The density of ice decreases because as water freezes instead of contracting it expands and therefore ice has an expanded crystalline structure.
I am afraid to say that u are completely wrong in saying that ice has more density. THIS is the proven established fact.
Flooding-
Instead of Flooding lets use the more appropriate term-Rise in sea level.
Kahless gave the example the example of the non-existent land bridge between Britain and Continenatl Europe.
He said-
"The mass of the icecaps presses down on the continental plates and when that pressure is relieved as the ice melts the continental plates rise reducing sea level."
But if we are to apply this logic then as ice-caps melts shouldnt the land bridge that connected both Britain and continental Europe be still existent? Why is that the English Channel exists?Where did the water come from?
When in ice-age as water freezes to become ice this in turn exposes low-lying areas and new land emerges.
I will give another example of the land bridge that connected North America and Asia.
In ice age both the conitnents were connected by a land bridge through which humans from Asia went to the Americas and setled there. When the ice-caps melted the Great Lakes like Lake Superior etc were formed and at the same time the Bering Strait was formed.
The Bering Strait is what now covers the land bridge and hence Alaska and Russia are separated from each other.
I am afraid i would have to disagree with Kahless on this point too.
The basic principle here that i believe is that when ice melts naturally and consequently sea water levels would rise.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, the argument is that of pressures of ice-cap on land masses and continental plates is relieved when ice melts. Therefore continental mass rises above the existing sea-level.
It appears that this is a sound argument. But we should realise that most of the ice is concentrated on the North and South Pole.
The north pole region is mainly a sea{Arctic Sea} and the South Pole Region is Antarctica. These are not regions of significant human habitation.
The equator and tropic region along with temparate lands from latitudes 0-66.5 are relatively free from ice except for mountaineous areas.
So where is all the ice that could exert pressures on the continents where human live?
I find that this argument is flawed too because even if we factor the pressure on ice we find this very simple fact from the UNEP report on climate change-
"Over the last 100 years, the global sea level has risen by about 10 to 25 cm."
Sea-levels have risen and even if this is ignored it is felt across the world especially in low-lying areas.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ICE-AGE-
Yes Kahless is absolutely right when he says that we are still living in an ice-age but the ice-age that we live in is a milder form of what there used to be.
Kahless maybe right that even if stopped all human activities then the world will still get warmer.
But i feel that kind of warming wont be so drastic and sudden as the kind of warming we humans are causing.
The general view that is held here=Is that both human and natural activities are responsible for this BUT human activities are aggravating the problem and are accelerating the warming effect. This is why it is such a big issue because we are disrupting the natural carbon-dioxide cycle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason why i feel that the term "Global Warming" has been replaced by "Climate Change" is not due to those facts but because "Climate Change" is the more bigger issue.
"Global Warming" has disrupted climatic patterns and due to this not only is the world temperature increasing but enitre climate systems of entire nations are changing.
The term "Climate Change" encompasses not only warming effects but the entire range of climatic variations.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kahless said=
"CO2 actually reflects more solar radiation AWAY from the earth than it traps. "
I cant accept this point at all because-
1.Sulphates are better known for their cooling effect than CO2.
2.If the concentration of CO2 in atmosphere is more then "Global Warming" should never take place or atleast should be reduced but we are not seeing that. Are we?
3.CO2 is known throughout the scientific circles as primarily a "greenhouse gas".This "fact" will question this nomenclature.
Even if this is assumed to be true this really doesnt change the scenario because there are other greenhouse gases as well and we humans are emitting them."Global Warming" and "Climate Change" is still taking place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kahless said-
"During the industrial revolution of the 1800s when CO2 emitions were unregulated and MASSIVE the global temperature actually dropped causing one of the worst winters in British records known as "the big freeze". "
Climate change report on UN says this=
"carbon dioxide levels appear to have varied by less than 10% during the 10,000 years before industrialization. In the 200 years since 1800, however, levels have risen by over 30%. Even with half of humanity's carbon dioxide emissions being absorbed by the oceans and land vegetation, atmospheric levels continue to rise by over 10% every 20 years."
The real MASSIVE CO2 emissions are taking place now and not then. The real Industrial Revolution was there only in the countries of Europe and N.America in 1800 and the rest of the world i.e most of the world-Asia,Africa and S.America were not even in the picture.
But in the twentieth and 21st century we have most of the world blissfully ignorant of the emissions.
It is wrong to think that emissions were the maximum in 1800 because conumption has only increased with new human activities that produce more CO2.
The "fact" that Pacific Oceans emit more CO2 is disputable beacuse oceans are considered to be "Carbon Sinks" rather than CO2 producer. In the vast oceans CO2 actualy dissolves.
Please forgive if i am offensive.I found myself at variance with ur beliefs.

Re: funny bush talk about global warming
On melting ice: There is a easy and simple test you can do at home. And this proves that the sea level will not rise.
Take a glass with 10 ice cubes. Fill it with water untill it's completly full.
Wait untill the ice is molten.
You will see that the glass is now half full.
There you go the water will not rise.
I wont go as far as; 'the covernant is lying' but if you think logical you will find out that most stuff they say is bent or total bull droppings.
We arnt strong inought to kill the earth. We can make it worse for ourself, but evolution will find an answer.
Oke about this, lets drop this, because it cant lead to anything good.
There will always be people that don't believe this and there always will be people that...... do.
