FL Crashing after new mod install

i installed the new mod over an hour ago and since then i have been unable to open freelancer at all.

i uninstalled FL and the new mod and reinstalled and the same thing happens.

if i try and open FL with out the mod (fresh install),
i get the opening movies.......splash screen...... then it crashes.

if i try with the new mod installed... FL freezes when showing the void splash.

it was working fine before i installed the updated mod.... ?!?
any ideas?  :-?

Sry, I have no ideas mate, but as you can see in this Thread, you're not the only one with problems. Nearly nobody can connect to the server. I guess, there will be a fixed mod uploaded soon.

If your game crashes after splash screen when your not using a mod, its usually due to a corrupted restart file in my documents\my games.

Delete that folder

same here....after installing the mod i run Fl and all i get is a black screen! ?
whats going on?

Ok, when you are installing the mod and don't have a CD click yes when the back up screen comes up, if not click no, the way i go the mod to work was uninstall FL, restart PC, reinstall, and install mod, after that it worked great!

Zyos i think you may have cracked it there...

after i downloaded version a of the new mod,
i reinstalled again (4th time)
installed the mod
deleted the ' my games' folder
and it loaded and i got online....
