Account ID Help

I recently installed Freelancer on someone else's computer so they could play on my server with me.  Unfortunately, in the initial startup of the game, when you click on Multiplayer, and it shows you your Account ID, the field was blank.  We have tried reinstalling Freelancer 4 times, thinking maybe it was just a glitch with no luck.  I inputted my Account ID and it accepted it, but, i am not sure if we can both be logged on to the same server with the same ID.  If so, there is no problem, if not, then i was wondering if anyone has had this issues and has a solution, or, if anyone, knows how to get a code, for him to use.  I tried reinstalling Freelancer on my machine, hoping to generate a different code, but it came up as the same one.  Maybe that ID is stored in the Registry somewhere, i am not sure.  Thanks.

If the same MPID is on the both users.  You both can't access the server at the same point or time.  One of you will have to try and get a new account, if possible.

Have you uninstalled FL completely?  Deleting all the folders?  And then trying installing it again?

If not..

Try it, and see if that helps.  If it doesn't, where did you buy your game?  Did you get it in a shop, or bought it off the intertet?  The game files may be curroupted.

Here is a solution gor you to get another MPID code, on the machine with the working user account, create a new windows user account, use this account and run freelancer, and go to multiplayer, and another MPID account will have been created. Write this down and use it on the other maxhine. You should then be able to connect to a server with both ID's 1 of each machine.

If the game doesn't generate an MPID upon installation simply apply the 1.1 patch as this is one of the few bugs it actually fixes for clients

:-SS  Any idea why no servers show up each time i go into Multiplayer??? I installed 1.1 patch and everything... i dnno wats wrong...

Im just some new guy who cant really Do anything with multiplayer  :(  None of the servers show up... any reason why that is?

ahhhh... was it supposed to come up onto the main menu... like new game and all that... or was it suppsoed to go straight into the server???  :-SS

yea it goes to the main menu you gotta go onto multiplayer and the server will show up (when it comes online) or should do anyway

I sure hope it does... So its Direct connect link, press on it, [When server online] and it goes into main menu, then Multiplayer and it should automaticly come up... straight away?

direct link comes up as a download. so you can click open and it will start FL. i saved it and made a shortcut on my desktop but either way is fine
